Wow. It has been a while since I have posted.
Doesn't seem there has just been too much going on. Some has, but some which can't really be mentioned on here. Life seems it has just been hectic lately but everything has been going well.
I have been working
ALOT due to Maury Regional opening another lab that I have been working at and then I have also worked a day at Baptist. First time in a long time for that one. Trent has also been busy. He has had court along with his normal schedule. Seems for about 2 weeks we
didn't do anything but work. After 12 long days of not being off together (other than me being sent home one night which was day 9 of us not being together. We only got a few hours that night together.) we finally got 5 total days off together. 3 of which was a 3 day weekend that we
thoroughly enjoyed together. We went out to eat, went shopping and to the movies. Just a good hubby
wifey weekend out. The next 2 was a bit stressful but they also ended up being good. We will get to that in a few.
Bullet, of course, he is part of the family so we have to mention him also. Since finding out the results of his skin condition, we have been bathing him as we were supposed to however, that does not seem to really help. I guess he will just have to continue to scratch,
naw, and lick like crazy. Poor dog. He is so very spoiled rotten though. As I always say, Even though he is our little problem child, we COULD NOT imagine life without the big beast.
As far as other things in the Haddocks world:
I am so very proud of Trent. As of April 10
th, he will be dip free for 6 months. He has done so good and says that he really hasn't even craved it.
Soo so proud of him.
we are still trying to get pregnant and so far with no luck. We are quickly coming up on a year of trying and the doctor said if not pregnant by June to come and see him so we are taking it month by month and leaving it in God's hands. I know it will happen in God's timing and when he is ready. Apparently we are just a little more ready and eager to have a little one than God is at this time.
We are counting down the days until our cruise. Every time we think about it we start singing We're going to the ship
yeeeaaaah, we're going to the ship (off of the movie
Hardball, however talking about a different ship.
lol) We have only 31 days until we leave for Mobile, AL and 32 days left until we are sailing the Beautiful blue sea. The ship actually leaves on our Anniversary. Wow I can't believe we have already been married 2 years.
Me, mom, and Kate leave in 64 days for Tampa and in 65 days, we will be sailing away. I
definitely can not wait to have another mommy and daughter trip get away with my mom. I absolutely love and cherish all the time I get to get away with her and I am so glad my cousin also gets to come along. She will get to experience flying and cruising for the first time and she more than any teen I know deserves it more than anything. She is such a wonderful kid (15yrs old) that has been through
alot and not to mention in school in honors classes and makes pretty much straight A's.
Not sure what the days are but it is sometime in June. Trent is also looking forward to his annual fathers / son trip to Omaha to the College Baseball world series.
We often say how we feel we are so very fortunate and blessed to be young and be able to experience the things we do and to have the things we have. We are blessed with such wonderful loving family, nice home, and more. We could not ask to be any more blessed. I do have to say, without my wonderful husband having such a good head on his shoulders, we would not be where we are today. I tell him all the time and he just laughs at me but I
truly feel I have married the absolute best man a girl could have ever asked for.
Anywho, enough rambling. Me and Trent was out and about the other night and I saw the moon and it was so big and so full. I wanted a picture however where we were, there was tree limbs in the way but I took it anyways. I actually like the way it turned out. I
don't know why but I just think it looks kinda cool.
Ok, on to the 2 days off that me and Trent had that was a bit
stressful. I will not say a whole lot on the subject but will say a
little. My daddy has had some health tings going on for a while now.
At least a year. One Sunday on the way to church, he lost vision in one of his eyes for a short period of time which the next day he went to the eye doctor for. The eye doctor then sent him to a retina specialist which suspected that he had
Sarcoidosis and sent him to a few other Nashville doctors. He in the meantime had a CT which showed possible
Sarcoidosis along with possible Lymphoma. He had surgery for a biopsy on Tuesday which came with good results. The
cardio / thoracic
surgeon that done his surgery said that it was
Sarcoidosis with NO cancer that he did not see anything malignant and he would be sending the biopsy to the pathologist for all final details. Daddy, I know you are reading this I LOVE YOU and even though I am a big and grown girl, you will always be my daddy. Not my dad but my daddy.
First of all I have to say, Our God is an AWESOME God. All day, I wanted to sick that song. Of course, it had nothing to do with our luck, it was all God.
Second of all, it was Dad, mom, Amber, me, Trent and Aunt Vicki all there during his surgery. We said all of us brought him a bit of luck that day. Here is a pictures of all of our luck with explanation on why each thing was lucky.
Dad - got 20% off the total of the hospital payment
Mom - pager #773 which is 7 Gods number and 3 moms favorite number
Amber - wore the lucky Dr shirt. Camouflage shirt which mom wore and got a good report from the doctor and then Amber wore it and got a good report from doctor
Me - bottom picture. Parked in the 4 leaf clover lucky section
Aunt Vicki - found a 4 leaf clover outside the hospital
Trent - this has a story. Dad has always picked on Trent about being Barney with the 1 bullet. Dad called the other day and said that he had heard rumors that they were going to cut his throat and he needed Trent to bring his 1 bullet in case he needed some backup. Trent, needless to say, brought his 1 bullet. (In case your wondering about the hearing they were going to cut his throat, that is how they got the biopsy. They cut the throat and went down to the lungs that way.)
So, with God on dad's side and then with all the good luck we had going around that place we knew everything was going to turn out good.
Now the next picture is rather hilarious. Maybe you had to be there, I don't know but we all thought it was hilarious. Honestly without the voice it may not be but if you want to see and hear it all, just let me know. I can send ya a text of the voice along with it. See the picture and then the story to follow just below. Once we found out dads results came back good, we just busted loose and were total cut ups. I am so surprised we did not get kicked out of the hospital.
Who does this look like??? We have heard 2 people say Susan Boyle so other than her who is this?
COWARDLY LION!!! Ok tell me this woman does not look like the cowardly lion off of the Wizard of Oz. We got a picture of her and then me and Trent went outside and he done a reenactment of the cowardly lion voice and sayings and we recorded it with our phone. He sounded just like the cowardly lion and she looks just like it. We then sent them together as a text and it is now a ring tone on mom's phone.
Anyways, now that this has been a long blog I feel as if I am just rambling. Hope everyone else is doing well.
