Well, it has been FOREVER since we have really updated everyone so I figured I would give a quick update to let everyone know how we are doing.
Everyday life is great. Not much going on with us. I just got back from St Louis with my mom, sister, and Colty and we had a GREAT trip and got to do lots of fun things. Me and Trent on the other hand are getting ready to go to the Bahamas on a cruise and WE CAN NOT WAIT. We very much so need a break and a get away. While we are on our cruise, we will have been trying to have a baby for 2 years. WOW, that is a long time. Even though it is such a long time, I do feel blessed because it does seem the time has went by quickly. I also feel very blessed that not only has God closed doors for us but he has opened doors and great opportunities for us to allow us to reach our final goal of having a little bundle of joy.
As far as our Infertility Journey is concerned, things are going great and moving right along. I would say at this point, we are almost half way into the process of which we have decided to take. I am guessing we are about 6-9 months out from starting procedures. It really seems like lately everything has been working out great and falling right into place. Back in March, we definately hit a few stumbling blocks which then turned to hitting about rock bottom and causing the most emotions we have had in several months but we quickly picked ourselves up and made the best out of the situation. I am still doing our scrapbook and for the month of March used this saying: One of the secrets of life is making stepping stones out of stumbling blocks. I really liked this saying because as I said, we really struggled a couple of days in March however turned it around and made stepping stones out of it. We have to keep ourselves up and moving in the right direction.
My neighbor says the other day that she was watching one of the baby shows and it was on a couple who had infertility and they done IUI (which is what we are doing) and got pregnant THE VERY FIRST TIME (boy I can only PRAY TO GOD that happens for us) BUT with QUADRUPLETS. Oh holy cow!!! Yes, I pray God blesses us enough and we are lucky enough for it to happen the first time but no quadruplets please. However, we will be very thankful and grateful for what ever God wants to bless us with even if that means we will be the octo parents (eek!!! I pray to God it ain't that bad.)
Other than that, not a whole heck of a lot has been going on.
Hope everyone else is doing well.

Trent = 1, Snake = 0
Trent went golfing this morning while I slept for a little bit since I had to work last night. When he got home from golfing, I was still asleep in the bed. He comes straight into the room and grabs the gun and I hear it click. I then jump up and the following story happens.....
Ashlie: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!!"
Trent: "WE GOT A SNAKE BESIDE THE GARAGE!!! His head was perked up and following me and his tongue was sticking out"
Ashlie: Jumped up and said "Wait, I might scream like a little girl but I want to see it."
We then get outside and it is hiding under a concrete rain run off thing so we propped up the concrete piece with a shovel. Now, this was RIGHT AGAINST the house. Trent got ready to shoot it and the following conversation quickly took place.
Ashlie: "Wait, is it going to hit the house or hit something, bounce off and come back and hit you?"
Trent: "I DON'T KNOW!" (which he later tells me he responded with this just to get a reaction out of me. He knew it wouldn't come back and hit him)
***He bends down and gets ready to shoot it while....
Ashlie: I am SCREAMING VERY LOUDLY "NO!! WAIT!! TRENT!! DON'T DO IT!!"
Gun: BOOM!!!
Now the funny part of this story is my neighbor had her windows up so if they heard all of this taking place, they probably thought Trent had just shot and killed me.
So,... here is the snake. As you can see, Trent shot it right at it's head. It WOULD NOT die. It's neck had to be broke cause of where Trent shot it. It's body would move all over but not so much with it's head. So, Trent proceeded with trying to chop its head off with the shovel.

Nope, that darn snake would just not give up so Trent then takes the shovel, carries it to the middle of the yard and drops him.
***WARNING: THE VERY NEXT PICTURE UNDER THIS IS OK TO LOOK AT BUT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE THE SNAKE PRETTY MUCH DECAPITATED, DON'T LOOK AT THE ONE UNDER IT!!!
PUTS THE GUN DIRECTLY ON THE SNAKES HEAD AND BOOM!!! Which resulted in the next picture which is an almost decapitated snake!!!
