Year Full of Fun and Vacations.

To start it out, I will do some explaining. Trent will be returning to Omaha for the College World Series Baseball again. He came home last year and had a blast saying that he wanted to make it a yearly tradition but he would like for me to go with him. Several months ago, the time to get tickets and everything rolled around this year and we had mentioned me going. NOPE that got nixed in the bud real quick. This is supposedly only a Father - Son get away with like 4 other couples (father and sons) therefore it would be forbidden that I go. I was upset but got over it still not totally understanding. Of course he is going anyways.

A few days ago, my mom had told me that her and my sister were going on a cruise to Grande Cayman Island and Cozumel and wanted me to go. I was so iffy on it, but thought it would be great that us girls get a little vacation together. How often will it ever happen again that just the 3 of us can get together like that especially once me and Trent start trying for some little chitlins. Still a little reluctant on the situation but have turned in a Vacation Request form at work. So if they approve me to get off, I will be going. Trent said he did not care and also brought up the fact that it would only be fair if I did go since he was going to Omaha again without me.

As everyone already knows, we will be going to Boston from April 23rd to April 27th. We are still so very looking forward to that. This will still overall, be the best one of all. During that time, we will luckily have 9 whole days off together. No work no nothing, just FUN AND PLAY. Then back to work we go, our normal routine of not being off with each other not even 1 day 1 week and the next week being off 4 broken up days together. We will do this for 3 weeks, then I will leave to go on my cruise. I will leave for my Cruise May 22nd and return on the 29th which means I will not get back to my home until the 30th. (with work and all, this means we will not see each other for 11 days. And to top it all off while on the ship the 23rd -28th, I will barely even speak to him since it is so expensive to call from the ship. That is going to be the hardest out of everything.) We will then do our normal routine for a week. Luckily it falls on the week that we see each other for 4 sporadic days and Trent will leave for Omaha on June 11th through the 14th or 15th. Then luckily again, the week he gets home, will be our week for 4 days with each other. From the later part of May to the middle of June which ends up being right at a month, me and Trent will definitely be missing each other. This is the only down side of us taking separate vacations than one another. From the 18th of May to the 18th of June, we will only be off and together with each other for 8 days which totally sucks. Then, Trent parents have a time share thing and they are going to the Mountains in October and have asked us to go with them. We will get to stay for free because of their time share. We will probably be going to Gatlinburg from October 11th through the 14th.

This year shall be filled with lots of great Trips and new Experiences which will be lots of fun for the both of us however, there are some down sides to it also. The biggest one being that we will have such little time together during our separate vacations. Other than that, Everything sounds all good to us however, the bank account is thinking something different, which is the main reason I am so reluctant on my cruise. lol.

VALENTINES DAY

I hope everyone had a great Valentines Day. As for me and My Hubby, we had a Great Valentines Dinner. We had decided and agreed not to do anything too big nor get each other anything due to us spending so much money on our Boston trip but we definitely enjoyed our time together. It was much needed. The only thing that sucks is now I won't be with him again till the 23rd. Anywho, here are a few pictures.

Yeah, I really did not want to post this one but Trent wanted me to so here ya go. Yeah I know, we are quiet hideous in this picture but I have always said we are unique because of how stupid we are together and how we do the stupidest things together and I guess this proves it.

This was our 6th Valentines Day together and boy has time flown and I guess I must add and how crazy we have drove each other. Or from the looks of the pictures, we look like we have drove each other crazy (literally). Not really though.

Rat on Crack

So yesterday was my first day trying out my new meds. Last night I did not seem to be all chattery and everything but I was wide awake. I am used to yawning litterally like 100 times a night and did not yawn not even 1 time last night. I was actually quiet at work but I assume it was just because I am a quiet person when I do not know you extremely well. I will talk, just not be myself. Well this morning I got off work and called Trent and was going 100 mile an hour with my mouth. He said that the medicine is making me sound like a Rat on Crack. I was all talkative, crazy and wide awake. It was amazing. I was still so awake once I got home, I thought oh I will just go ahead and take my shower for the day. I took an Ambien to give it time to work while in shower and drying my hair. Note to myself, bad idea for future. As I was drying my hair approx 30 minutes after taking the Ambien, I started falling asleep. Yes in the middle of drying my hair. Laugh at me as you may, my hubby does all the time but when I am getting ready, I sit in the bathroom sink. So it was quiet the site to see me sitting in the sink, drying my hair, and falling asleep. It was even funnier to see me trying to walk to the bed after it was done. I stumbled to the bed, walking like a drunk, fell into it and then realized I did not have the fan on. Oh then the humor really started, as I tried getting out of bed and was walking over to the light switch, I was swaying back and forth and could hardly stand. I texted Trent and told him the way I was walking and acting, he would have wanted to run a BA on me. Needless to say when I hit the bed, that was it for me. Anywho, I know not to do that anymore.

I talked to the Doctor this morning about the effects of me taking this medicine while trying to get pregnant and he said he personally did not see it to be a problem, he never has. However, said that I should not take his advice due to most Gyn wanting you to quit all meds once pregnant. I will talk to my doctor when that time comes and probably quit taking them then. I also talked to him about Provigil increasing chances of getting pregnant. He said that I does increase chances of getting pregnant because it increases the enzymes in the liver which eats away the Estrogen formed by the Birth Control which makes it sometimes not as effective. However, he said he has never heard of it happening even though it is the possibility.

On a different note, we are getting more and more ready for Boston, I finally last night ordered our Sweatshirts for the game. We can not wait.

Just a little funny. When they changed our unit, they told me (because I was the one home and Trent wasn't) that we may still smell some burning due to all the oils from the new unit not being burnt off yet. We only had it on for a few hours after it being put in than turned it off. Last night, Trent turned it on and called me and said what does the unit smell like? I said oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, they said it may have a burnt smell. He says no, it smells like waffles, no not waffles I mean syrup. K maybe it just me but I found it so funny because he swears our new unit smells like syrup.

Any who, that enough of an update for now.

Doctors follow up

This morning I saw then doctor before I left work. He says NO apnea, narcolepsy or anything like that as we already knew. He said becuase of all the Spontaneous arousals I was having, he is associating everything to me working nights. The reason I am having so many arousals is just becuase I am sleeping during the day and that is not what my Circadian Rhythm (biological time clock) is set to. He has now put me on Ambien CR to help keep me asleep and keep me from having all the arousals while sleeping and also put me on Provigil which is a Stimulant to keep me awake while I am supposed to be. I had to Pep talk myself the whole way home and convince myself that I went to the doctor to get better so I need to take the medicine he prescribed to me. I hate taking medicines, that is just not my thing. I mean for crying out loud, I can't even remember to take my Birth Control. Speaking of which, I read in a pamphlet just a few minutes ago that Provigil actually increases your chances of getting Pregnant. Trent is sleeping therefore I have not had the chance to break this news to him. Anywho, I took the Ambien CR yesterday before going to bed. I fell asleep before I could even think about it and then I woke up in the very same position that I fell asleep in. Luckily I did not have any bad dreams, wake up and eat, etc as they say is a side effect of it. I then took my Provigil when I got to work tonight. I do feel somewhat more awake than I normally do. Hopefully this will help me so that I do not continue to sleep my life away. Anywho, that all, I just wanted to let everyone know how it went

Blog Venting

So, I just need to vent. lol. I have not seen Trent since last Tuesday then Finally I got to see him yesterday. I only saw him for 4 hours until we fell asleep. That just not enough time for me. Then to beat it all, I thought we were gonna be off together Saturday and Sunday. Nope of course not. He now has to work on Sunday so we only get Saturday, after that, the next time we will see each other won't be until the 23rd. This means within 4 weeks, we will have only had 4 days together. It is ridiculous how it seems like we still live 2 hours away from each other when we are married. We are so looking forward to Boston becuase then we will have 7 full days with each other. Anywho, I just needed to vent becuase I am so very frustrated right now. Oh well, hopefully everything will get back normal before long and after the 23rd we will be able to see each other more. It is so hard not having him home and then not having family close. Oh well enough venting.

New Unit Atlast

Saturday, we got a check in the mail from our House insurance for us to get our unit replaced. We called our Unit Guy (Moby) and he came out yesterday and immediately got to things and got the unit replaced. FINALLY, all this headache is done and over with. We have been dealing with this for a month and a half now so we are so happy to have everything done. The good thing is, we got the unit replaced with one that is so much better than our old one. When they turned on the unit to make sure everything was working, we had the heat set lower than what we usually keep it and we walked over to the vents and the air was warmer than what it had ever been before. That being said, now hopefully we won't have to have the heat as high and save on some electricity now. We have had our unit off for going on 3 days now (other than when it was on yesterday being tested) so hopefully our electricity bill won't be much this month. The last two bills being at $300 has been awful. This one should not even be that much since we had the unit problem fixed but then with the unit off I can't wait to see how cheap it will hopefully be. On the other hand, I can't wait to see how much the new unit helps and to see how cheap that will make our bills from here on out. Ahh, such a sigh of relief this is all done and in the past now.

On a different note, I had my sleep study on Monday, and it showed NO apnea, PLM's (leg movements in sleep), or snoring (therfore Trent was lying lol) therefore they did keep me for the MSLT (which is the Narcolepsy test). For all of you who does not know how that works, this is a series of 5 naps 2 hours apart from each other. They give you 20 minutes to fall asleep, if you don't fall asleep you get up after the 20 minutes is up. If you do fall asleep, you only get to sleep for 15 minutes and then they wake you up. They are looking to see if you get any REM (deepest stage of sleep) during that 15 minutes of sleep. I did sleep during all 5 naps, however, I did not have any REM during any of those naps. Therefore, I am not Narcoleptic. During the day study where I just slept my full 8 hours, they did find that about 14 times an hour, I do have spontaneous arousals, which is enough in itself to make me sleepy during the day. The doctor had said before if I did not have Narcolepsy he though it was Idiopathic Hypersomnia so I am assuming that will be what he still diagnoses me with but with all those arousals, I don't know. I did not stay to meet with the doctor before I left but I will be seeing him in the morning before I leave work so I will update everyone tomorrow to let ya know what he says.

Just life

Well, as many of you know, I have been staying super sleepy for quiet some time now. I went to Dr. Haynes (which is a sleep doctor there at Baptist where I work) on Monday and he is thinking that it probably is not sleep apnea but at my age and my symptoms, that he is thinking more along the lines of Narcolepsy. If it is not Narcolepsy and of course if it is also negative for sleep apnea then he will just diagnose me with Idiopathic Hypersomnia. Ok, to put it in English terms, idiopathic hypersomnia basically just means Excessive sleepiness of an unknown cause. I will be going in on Monday and having my actual sleep test. I will have to be there at 7am and I will have just a sleep apnea test until approx 5pm and then from there Dr. Haynes will review that study with me and decide where to go from there. His plans are to keep me even that night and do the narcolepsy test on me if I show no Sleep apnea. Which means that I will actually be there from about 7am on Monday morning until probably about 3am Tuesday morning. The funny thing is, good Ol' Heather will be doing my Narcolepsy study if it comes down to that and it probably will. Anywho, I really hope we can figure out why in the heck I stay so tired all the darn time. I am so sick and tired of doing nothing but sleeping all the time. I am trying to study for my test which is dreadfully coming up again in March and it is so hard to study when all I do is sleep. That being said everyone Please say some huge Prayers for me that I pass that thing this time. I only failed it by 2 points last time so hopefully I can conquer it this time.

I previously posted a blog called Boston Bound Baby and this guy named Elliott from the Sheraton Boston Hotel had left me a message. I was wondering how in the heck he had found me. Anywho, I contacted him today with a few questions regarding his comment to me. He they had some type of an alert system thing I think through Google which let them know when their hotel was mentioned. Anywho to the Point. Our motel has 2 towers, one in which has already been renovated and one in which is going through renovations now. The north tower in which we were supposed to be staying in and the South tower. The north tower is currently undergoing renovations and he had told us about it and told us to Contact him if we saw it to be any problem. When I called today, he stated that it was very noisy in the North tower due to the renovations that he could switch us to a room in the South tower. He is putting us in the South tower in a corner room which is actually going to be bigger than our original room we were going to be in. ( I have read many reviews in which states that corner rooms are the best.) He said that we would not have a river view but would still have a great view of the city from this room. We really did not care about the river view as long as the view itself was a good one so this did not matter to us. Then he also told us that even though we will not be in the Club rooms in the North tower, he was still going to give us the Club lounge benefits. I can not believe how much these people are willing to work with us and never even made it there to Boston yet. I can see that this Hotel is going to be amazing and very helpful with everything already. Elliott has been a huge help and we are sure things will just get so much better once we get there. I can tell already that they definitely deserve there 4 stars just on Customer Service alone. This will be the best ANNIVERSARY TRIP ever.

On SuperBowl night, Trent decided to make us some steaks. Oh my gosh, they were the best steaks ever. No exaggeration, we went to O'Charleys the night before and I got a steak from there and My Hubby's was so much better than theirs. Anywho, we made it a family steak and okra dinner. Bullet even got his own steak and he Loved it needless to say.

Once he got done with his, he sat there like a good boy and did not even beg for ours.

One last thing, we went and had our taxes done today, and Howey Mandel screwed us. (lol, not really but we have laughed about it) We would have gotten money back, but no, Thanks to Howey. Where Trent went last year to the Christmas special of Deal or NO Deal and got all that stuff, Howey turned that in on taxes and that itself was $1,300. We would have gotten a little money back but since we got taxed for that stuff, we had to pay in $58. Not complaining though cause we could have had to pay in much more. We are just thankful it is no more than that.

In general, Life is Great right now. Next week me and Trent will not be seeing much of each other because he has in service and I have my study all day on Monday. The only day we will see each other will be Tuesday after he gets out of in service. Other than that life is great and we have no complaints. Updates will come probably on Tuesday or Wednesday when we find out why I am so darn sleepy.
