Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas and got much more than what we deserved. We spent Christmas Eve with my family and then went back home to spend Christmas Day with Trent's family. Unfortunately on Christmas Day, Trent got sick yet again. He had that same cruddy stomach virus he got 2 months ago. Bless his Heart, atleast it did not last so long this time. Anywho here are a few pictures.

These 2 babies Jalie andd Brynlee were being my baby girls on Christmas Eve. They were hanging on me like 2 little leeches. Can't see poor Jaylie much.

These babies are just Gorgeous and look just alike. Jalie is 4 (will be 5 in January) and Brynlee is 2
Me and My most Wonderful hubby on Christmas Day.

For Trent's birthday, his parents got him/us this entertainment center and I got him surround sound.

Anywho, Trent has re cooperated and doing much better thank goodness and we should be getting his blood work results back this week from his thyroid and kidney that was drawn last week.
Bullet on the other hand we found out yesterday does in deed have a Thyroid problem and is now on daily thyroid pills. God love our little problem child.
and Last but not least. I am doing great. No complaints from me.
Hope everyone had a Wonderful Christmas and has a Wonderful New Year.

Health Update on the 3 of us!!!

K so the best of the news first. Monday I went to the Doctor and got released from my back strain. Everything appears to be good with it now.

Now the iffy news.

We took Bullet to the vet last week to get a cortisone shot. Basically to make a long story short we used to think the shots did not work but we were getting desparate due to the constant scratching and him going bald. The vet seen him and then proceded to tell us he thinks Bullet either has a food allergy or a thyroid problem. We have now had him on a new food for 5 days and it is not getting better therefore we will be taking him back at the beginning of the year and testing him for a Thyriod problem.

Yesterday Trent followed up with with Dr. Khim his urologist with the kidney stones. There was no blood or infection in the urine therefore the kidnes stones are gone. Yippee Wonderful Christmas present to him. The only problem is, 1/3 of the stone we sent off for testing was made of Calcium Phosphate which can be a sign of either Kidney or Thyriod problems. The doctor said it is pretty unlikely since only 1/3 of the stone came back with the Calcium phosphate but he did want to be on the safe side and test anyways. We drew some blood the other day and we should have those back at some point next week.

That is about all that is going on these days with us.

HOPE EVERYONE HAS A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!!!

It's Christmas Time

WARNING: This blog is full of almost nothing but pictures.
We changed our main tree up this year and did not make it a police tree. It is royal blue and silver and it was very pretty. However, my wonderful mother in law came over and made it Beautiful. We also bought a small 4 foot tree and made it a police tree so we have 2 in our house now. Pictures do it no justice but here they are.
Yes, Trent laughed at me but I just had to have my wrapping paper to match they tree this year.

Here is an up close picture. We have big ribbon, beads, ball ornaments, and very shiny things stuck in there that just stick out. I love it.

Now on to the Police tree.

It has the same blue and silver with ribbon theme however the only thing on it is Police ornaments.

We have not had a picture of Bullet in a while so here is some of him by the different trees.

In the next one, he was standing to the side of Trent's Police tree and I think he was trying to show Santa that he had been a good boy and learned new tricks this year.

I just love how he holds his treat on his nose until we tell him to get it. He really is such a great dog.

Me mom and Amber went shopping a couple of weekends ago and Colton went with us. I just love that kid to death. He is such a sweet sweet kid.

He wanted a picture with the reindeer.

Anywho, I think we are finally starting to slow down a little bit. Here just a few things going on with us.

  • As of tomorrow Trent will be 10 weeks dip free. I am so very proud of him. I know I never thought he would quit and honestly he always claimed he would but I don't think he even thought he ever would especially not cold turkey but he did.
  • I have said for a while now as soon as I got everyone around me healthy that I would end up sick. A few people said as soon as everyone was healthy I would be preggo. Nope that not the case yet but the case is that I have now hurt myself. I was at work the other night and tried helping a patient that was pretty much helpless and I strained a few different places in my back. I had to file workers comp and see the doctor and I had been put on low restrictions which I follow back up with the doctor on Monday to probably have those lifted. I am doing fine it is sore of course but it is tolerable and the medicine definitely helps. I really have not been taking the muscle relaxer they gave me but the Ibuprofen 800 really seems to be doing the trick well enough.
  • Trent last doctors appointment was almost 3 weeks ago and he still had blood in his urine (but not as much as it had been) and a little sore at times however the doctor just associated it with the healing process of both procedures being done on that one side so close to each other. We go back on Wednesday to see what the progress is now. Doctor says by then all blood should be out of the urine. If there is no blood, that just proves that it was healing process however if there is still blood, we get to search for more kidney stones. Since his last appointment he has not complained of being sore, stiff or anything so my thoughts is it was just healing and we are good to go. I hope that is the case at least.

Anyways, I reckon that is all for now. I hope everyone has a Wonderful Christmas.

Bullets new trick

We love seeing Bullet do new things. Last night Trent called me at work and said he had a surprise for me. He sent me a video and we just had Bullet to do it again. We just love our little Boo, he is so Smart.

Just wanted to show everybody his new trick.

STONEY, STONEY, BE GONEY???

Today we went for Trent's Ureteroscopy. Before the procedure we got an xray and the stone was still in the exact spot of course. No surprise. Dr. Khim said he thought he was going to get in there and it be rock hard solid. Also he has 2 more spots that are going to have to be monitored closely. 1 still in the right kidney and today something else showed up in a different spot than the previous stone on the left side. The doctor said it may not be in the kidney, it may just be shadowing from something in his intestines but we will watch it closely for a possible kidney stone. Anyways, after the procedure Dr. Khim said "well something very crazy happened while I was in there". Apparently the lithotripsy somewhat worked but not totally. He said when he got in there, the stone was all compacted into 1 still lodged in that same spot but when he hit it with the scope, it crumbled into tons of little pieces. Since it crumbled into so many pieces, he did not have to do as much as what he thought he was going to have to do therefore, he did not have to place the stent he originally told us he was going to do. He also said since the stent did not have to be placed, Trent should recover much quicker. Needless to say, Trent was more than happy not to have the stent. Not long after we got home, Trent was in some pretty Severe horrendous pain around the front side near his groin. Sounds as if the stones were moving on through the tract cause the pain he was having he said was the pain he normally has when passing stones. Right now he is a little sore but not as bad as a little earlier. Before leaving, Dr. Khim said "have fun on your trip". Dr did not think it would be a problem for us to go and said Trent should be feeling pretty good. As of now, we plan on leaving out tomorrow sometime to go to Gatlinburg. Hallelujah thank God. We needed to get away so bad.

Anywho, I think and hope this will be the last kidney stone update. We follow up with him on December 1st but hopefully everything will go good then.

And the Kidney Stone Journey continues......

So, I dont think this madness will ever end. We went back to Dr. Khim today to get the progress on the Lithotripsy from last week and follow up from Friday's ER visit. Good news and Bad news!!!

GOOD NEWS: He had such severe pain on Friday in his left side and he could not even stand so we went to the ER. According to the xray taken today, he PASSED the stone that was in his LEFT kidney. So that one is now gone and we no longer have to worry about it.

BAD NEWS: The one that was in his right Ureter which is the one they done the Lithotripsy on is still there. It is still lodged in the exact same spot that it has been in for 4 weeks now. The Lithotripsy did help somewhat due to it knocking fragments off the stone and making it smaller however even though it is smaller it is still not moving.

We now go in on Friday to have the Ureteroscopy done where they actually go in with the basket to remove it. Depending on the size, they still may have to use lasar and bust it up some before grabbing it. He will also have a stent placed after the procedure for a few days.

We were supposed to go to Gatlinburg on Saturday however I think that may be a no go. Trent is very persistant on still going due to this being the 2nd Gatlinburg trip it may cancel but I just done think it would be very wise to go so far right after the procedure.

Anyways, I reckon that is going on these days but thought I would update everyone.

When will all this insanity / maddness ever end?

So figured I would give a quick update since Trent's Lithotripsy. He had 1 stone in left kidney, 1 stone in the right kidney, and 1 in the right uretur. They do not cause any problems while in the kidney therefore during the Lithotripsy they targeted only the right ureter stone as hard as they could. Today Trent woke up with SEVERE PAIN in his LEFT SIDE and BLOOD in his URINE. 2 things bad about this. 1) Pain on left side and not right 2) doctor said should see blood in urine for 24 hours after procedure than it should pretty much stop and if it starts back to where you can actually see it, to call him immediately. We called Dr. Khim office the Urologist and he was not in today due to him being in surgeries all day therefore they told us to go to the ER. We kinda feel like the ER was a lost cause however we did find out there is high amounts of blood in the urine and they done a xray and some blood work to check for infectoin and also gave him pain meds and fluids via IV. Anyways, the ER doctor could not tell much by the xray however said their was definately blood in the urine with no kidney infections and the Urologist would be able to take a better look at the xray on Wednesday when he follows up with Trent then. Said Dr. Khim the urologist would be able to see it better and more clear than he would since the Urologist is used to looking at stones on an xray. We are thinking the pain on the left side is due to the stone in the LEFT KIDNEY coming loose and he is actually trying to pass yet ANOTHER STONE. I just feel so bad for him but really there is not much we can do until following up with Dr. Khim on Wednesday. We are just wondering when everything is gonna slow down and he is gonna start feeling better. Trent did get approved off of work as long as noone on his shift gets sick so we are supposed to be leaving for Gatlinburg next Saturday. Hopefully we can get him fully recovered and actully get to go. We need to go the land of FAR FAR AWAY for a while.
