Beautiful Mexico Anniversary Cruise!

WARNING: THIS IS EXTREMELY LONG WITH TONS OF PICTURES!!!

First of all, Happy 2nd Anniversary to us! Wow, I can't believe it has already been 2 years. Time sure does fly by. We had an absolutely amazing time on our Cruise. Of course this was my 2nd cruise so I knew what to expect but this was Trent's first and he also loved it. Neither one of us wanted to get off the ship when it was over. We already look forward to being able to go again. Luckily, I get to go back on one June 5th with my mom and cousin Kate and Trent is jealous of that. Anyways, this blog is basically just going to be pictures with explanations.

This first picture is out of order but oh well. It is a panoramic view sailing into Cozumel. Not so sure why it posted so small but you get the point.

We stayed in the Renaissance Riverview Mobile and it was a great motel and very nice. We had a port view so we woke up to seeing this outside of our motel room window.
Here we are getting ready to leave the motel room but took a picture first. You can see the ship to the left of us.
We had just boarded onto the ship and ate lunch and went to look around. Trent was excited and couldn't wait to start sailing away.
I had arranged for our ship room to be decorated before we even got there so that when Trent opened the door, he would be surprised. There was more than just this, there were also things hanging from the ceiling but it was just something cute and fun.
We had just started sailing away and for some reason, I liked the looks of Trent's profile with the sun shining down on the bay.
This was the sun set the first night.
The 2nd day on the ship was Captains night. We wore things from our wedding. I bought one of my bridesmaids dresses and had the train cut off and then wore bracelet and earrings from the wedding and the necklace from Amber's wedding. Trent wore his pin stripe suit but wore the vest and tie that he wore in our wedding. This was the professional picture taken that we bought.
We were up on one of the higher decks so the wind was blowing like crazy so I look like crap. If I wasn't blowing away, it would have been a great picture
I love this picture of Trent. I sure do have one Handsome hubby.
Me in front of our window in our room
I love this picture of us.
Trent in front of the Whale tale.
Me showing off the name of the ship with the whale tale in the back ground.
Looking towards the end of the ship at night
It was so extremely humid in Mexico that each morning when I pulled the lens cap off of the camera, it would fog up and take forever to un fog.
Docked in Cozumel at the Puerta Maya pier with the Carnival Legend beside us.
Cozumel lighthouse
View pulling into Cozumel. We docked at the pier in front of the yellow building to the right
In Cozumel just after getting off the ship.
Waiting to get on the Twister speed boat to take us to Isla Pasion (Passion Island). The twister was a speed boat that done 360 degree turns in the shallower spots of the ocean. We done probably around 12 turns. It was a blast.
Entrance into Isla Pasion. This is the actual Island that Corona commercials are filmed.
Just some more view of Passion Island
Me and Trent standing under the 2 palm trees used in the Corona Commercials.
This is the Place that is known for Goddess of fertility. I sat on it so maybe we will get lucky. Also, the little cactus like plant things that you see all around it is what is used to make Mexican Tequila.
Beautiful view of Passion Island.
So many photo opportunities on this island. It was absolutely gorgeous.
I wish I could stay here forever.
These are the 2 exact trees that are used to film Corona Commercials (from here on out will be called Corona Trees)
Me and Trent under the Corona Trees
Kissing under the Corona Trees
These were the Twister boat drivers. Jorge, Me, Willie, and Trent. Jorge was Willies assistant and Willie drove the twister. These guys were great and hilarious. May do this with Mom and Kate when we go to Cozumel and I will definitely request to have them if I do return.
The water is so Amazingly blue in Mexico. I don't think it matters how deep it is, you can see the bottom.
In Cozumel, standing in front of our ship the Carnival Fantasy.
Oops this picture is also a little out of order. We docked in Calica which is nothing but basically a sand pit and rock quarry. You can see that pic in a minute but Playa Del Carmen is about 15 minutes from Calica so this picture is Playa del Carmen zoomed in from the ship in Calica.
This is Calica. This is the view you get when you sail in. Not much. Welcome to Calica.
Again, Welcome to Calica
This is when we first walked off the ship in Calica. I liked the view of the sun coming around the side of the ship and reflecting in the water.
In Calica, we took a 4 wheeling excursion the the Jungle and Beach. (it also stopped at a Cavern) On the way to the Ranch where we got the 4 wheelers, the speed bumps where huge ropes tied to trees on each side of the road. That totally cracked us up.
Trent in his helmet and Bandana (to shield face from dust) ready to start the excursion
Here is the cavern that it also took us to. Right outside of this cavern, I got attacked by what I like to call the MMM. Which stands for the Mexican Mesquito Maffia. Only about the bottom 6 inches of my legs where showing and I came back with 43 bites on just that half.
The leader of the pack stopped so the slower people who had never drove a 4 wheeler could catch up so me and Trent used it as a photo oportunity.
The 4 wheeling ride made a brief stop at a beach and I almost sat on this iguana. After Trent warned me that I about sat on it, I chased it and took its picture
This was at the brief beach stop.
After the brief beach stop, it took us to this beach which we stayed at for an hour and a half.
After the 4 wheeler ride, we got a taxi to take us to 5th Ave. in Playa del Carmen where there are shops and restruants galore, attached to the beautiful beach.
A church on 5th Ave attached to the shops and beach.
We stopped at Carlos and Charlies to eat and there menus were GIGANTIC. As you can tell in this picture it basically took up half the table.
Their suvenier cups were also GIGANTIC. Not to mention all the drinks in Mexico are nasty. Diet Coke is called Coke Liet which does not even taste like diet coke. Absolutely nasty but that was the only thing they had that I would drink. Note to self and anyone else going to Mexico. Take plenty of bottle water with you if you drink diet drinks. I think the regular drinks were fine and just like normal drinks in America.
Another view of such clear water. At this point, we were at 180 ft sea depth and we were up on one of the higher decks and got this fish swimming by.
Leaving Calica, we got this pilot boat driving up and the man in the white shirt climbed out of our Ship and onto that boat. Too bad I didnt have the camera ready to get him climing out of our ship. I thought that was pretty cool.
Last but not least, from Calica you can see Cozumel (of course and Visa Versa). Here we were leaving Calica and caught this beautiful sunset setting over Cozumel.

We had a wonderful Anniversary and we ARE NOT ready to get back to the real world and start working. We have lots of fun things still coming up though to keep us busy and side tracked. In a week and a half, we have family pictures coming up in Manchester and then beginning of June, I have my cruise with mom and Kate. Middle of June, Trent has his trip to Omaha with his dad. July we have 2 parties to go to and July 9th - 11th we have AJ Fundraiser Ball Tournament. Oh yeah, and then in September, Trent friend and roomate from College is getting married in South Carolina. Busy busy, life always seems fun and busy for me and Trent.

Hope you all enjoyed this horribly long blog.

UGH Why Allergies?

Ok, this blog is nothing entertaining at all. Just a little gripe on my horrible allergies. When I was younger, I was tested for allergies. I am allergic to absolutely everything possible outside. LOVE LOVE LOVE this time a year. It is perfect but allergies, I just can't handle. Dr. Smith had me on allergy medicine last year however once I ran out, I just decided not to get more. When we get pregnant I can't take it so why refill it right? Well now, saying we have been trying a year in May and still not pregnant, I reckon I am gonna take myself back to the doctor. I gotta do something. Oh but watch, it would be my luck as soon as I go to the doctor and spend the money, I will get pregnant. You just watch and see. I will probably try something over the counter first so that I don't have to spend the copay, deductible or anything just in case we hopefullly do end up pregnant soon.

Hay = Someone with outdoor allergies WORST NIGHTMARE.

This is right behind my house. Where the hay starts, my back yard ends.

Due to the horrendous allergy issues, this is how I shall start mowing. With my nose and mouth covered. I sneezed literally like 15 times in a row and couldn't quit so I told Trent I just couldn't do it anymore. He gets in his patrol car and waa la. He found me a mask.

Nothing amusing really. Just the pretty sky. You can kinda tell in this picture but not the best but it had 2 different shades of blue. It was really pretty.

The above picture was one side of the yard and the below picture was another side. On one side, it was beautiful but on the other side, it was really cloudy and looked stormy.
In the next picture, you can see all the clouds and the sun trying to peek through.
That is pretty much all I wanted to post. We leave 1 week from today for vacation. Hopefully by this time next Sunday, we will be in Mobile, AL. Then on Monday, we will be sailing away. Probably won't post anything else until we get back from vacation so hope everyone is doing great until then.

Help me figure this one out!!!

This afternoon I was getting ready to meet Trent in town and eat with him and I heard this odd noise. I waited a little while before looking out because at first it just sounded like a helicoptor. It then started sounding funny so I finally looked out the window a couple minutes later and this is what I saw.

If you will look to the right and left of the big plane, you can see something coming from the bottom.

Sorry this picture is grainy but it is zoomed in more. Look at the thing on the left that was coming out of the big plane, the helicoptor now has it and then the one on the right is hanging down lower now.

I know I am so crazy but the curiosity is about to kill me. What in the world was they doing? They flew right by my house going very slow and they were flying really low too. I would love to know what was going on.
Edited: Ok, good ol' Heather commented and told me what it was and then Trent is at work but finally got a chance to look at it and he agreed so I got my answer. The plane was refueling mid air. Pretty cool. Thanks my Heather Dawn Love Smith. Oughta known you would have came through for me.

Pictures for Mom

I was in Manchester this past weekend and it was BEAUTIFUL outside so I just took a little walk and took some pictures. Mom asked me to post some so she could have them also so here they are.

Just a pretty flower.

Amber said she liked pictures of old barns so I took this one for her. I need to learn to be more artistic sometimes. I wish I was. Oh well. I got a few different shots of this one but this is just one. Another one showed trees and stuff blocking the barn and Amber actually like it the best.
I know this picture is not too entertaining but it was really pretty. Especially bigger it is realy pretty. I have it as a desktop background. Not sure why I like it so much

These last 2, we really liked. I just stood under a tree and looked up at the sun. I think it is pretty how the sun is shining through.
I like this one too cause you can see the sky also. I cant wait to go on my cruises and stand under a palm tree and get some cute pictures like these.
Speaking of the cruise and being more artsy. I am wanting to think of some cute artsy pictures to take while on the cruise, beach, etc. however like I said, I am not very artsy and creative so I am open to any suggestions anyone may have.
Hope you all enjoy the pics.

Beware: Long Blog, it's been a while!

Wow. It has been a while since I have posted. Doesn't seem there has just been too much going on. Some has, but some which can't really be mentioned on here. Life seems it has just been hectic lately but everything has been going well.

I have been working ALOT due to Maury Regional opening another lab that I have been working at and then I have also worked a day at Baptist. First time in a long time for that one. Trent has also been busy. He has had court along with his normal schedule. Seems for about 2 weeks we didn't do anything but work. After 12 long days of not being off together (other than me being sent home one night which was day 9 of us not being together. We only got a few hours that night together.) we finally got 5 total days off together. 3 of which was a 3 day weekend that we thoroughly enjoyed together. We went out to eat, went shopping and to the movies. Just a good hubby wifey weekend out. The next 2 was a bit stressful but they also ended up being good. We will get to that in a few.

Bullet, of course, he is part of the family so we have to mention him also. Since finding out the results of his skin condition, we have been bathing him as we were supposed to however, that does not seem to really help. I guess he will just have to continue to scratch, naw, and lick like crazy. Poor dog. He is so very spoiled rotten though. As I always say, Even though he is our little problem child, we COULD NOT imagine life without the big beast.

As far as other things in the Haddocks world:
I am so very proud of Trent. As of April 10th, he will be dip free for 6 months. He has done so good and says that he really hasn't even craved it. Soo so proud of him.

we are still trying to get pregnant and so far with no luck. We are quickly coming up on a year of trying and the doctor said if not pregnant by June to come and see him so we are taking it month by month and leaving it in God's hands. I know it will happen in God's timing and when he is ready. Apparently we are just a little more ready and eager to have a little one than God is at this time.

We are counting down the days until our cruise. Every time we think about it we start singing We're going to the ship yeeeaaaah, we're going to the ship (off of the movie Hardball, however talking about a different ship. lol) We have only 31 days until we leave for Mobile, AL and 32 days left until we are sailing the Beautiful blue sea. The ship actually leaves on our Anniversary. Wow I can't believe we have already been married 2 years.

Me, mom, and Kate leave in 64 days for Tampa and in 65 days, we will be sailing away. I definitely can not wait to have another mommy and daughter trip get away with my mom. I absolutely love and cherish all the time I get to get away with her and I am so glad my cousin also gets to come along. She will get to experience flying and cruising for the first time and she more than any teen I know deserves it more than anything. She is such a wonderful kid (15yrs old) that has been through alot and not to mention in school in honors classes and makes pretty much straight A's.

Not sure what the days are but it is sometime in June. Trent is also looking forward to his annual fathers / son trip to Omaha to the College Baseball world series.

We often say how we feel we are so very fortunate and blessed to be young and be able to experience the things we do and to have the things we have. We are blessed with such wonderful loving family, nice home, and more. We could not ask to be any more blessed. I do have to say, without my wonderful husband having such a good head on his shoulders, we would not be where we are today. I tell him all the time and he just laughs at me but I truly feel I have married the absolute best man a girl could have ever asked for.

Anywho, enough rambling. Me and Trent was out and about the other night and I saw the moon and it was so big and so full. I wanted a picture however where we were, there was tree limbs in the way but I took it anyways. I actually like the way it turned out. I don't know why but I just think it looks kinda cool.

Ok, on to the 2 days off that me and Trent had that was a bit stressful. I will not say a whole lot on the subject but will say a little. My daddy has had some health tings going on for a while now. At least a year. One Sunday on the way to church, he lost vision in one of his eyes for a short period of time which the next day he went to the eye doctor for. The eye doctor then sent him to a retina specialist which suspected that he had Sarcoidosis and sent him to a few other Nashville doctors. He in the meantime had a CT which showed possible Sarcoidosis along with possible Lymphoma. He had surgery for a biopsy on Tuesday which came with good results. The cardio / thoracic surgeon that done his surgery said that it was Sarcoidosis with NO cancer that he did not see anything malignant and he would be sending the biopsy to the pathologist for all final details. Daddy, I know you are reading this I LOVE YOU and even though I am a big and grown girl, you will always be my daddy. Not my dad but my daddy.

First of all I have to say, Our God is an AWESOME God. All day, I wanted to sick that song. Of course, it had nothing to do with our luck, it was all God.

Second of all, it was Dad, mom, Amber, me, Trent and Aunt Vicki all there during his surgery. We said all of us brought him a bit of luck that day. Here is a pictures of all of our luck with explanation on why each thing was lucky.

Dad - got 20% off the total of the hospital payment
Mom - pager #773 which is 7 Gods number and 3 moms favorite number
Amber - wore the lucky Dr shirt. Camouflage shirt which mom wore and got a good report from the doctor and then Amber wore it and got a good report from doctor
Me - bottom picture. Parked in the 4 leaf clover lucky section
Aunt Vicki - found a 4 leaf clover outside the hospital
Trent - this has a story. Dad has always picked on Trent about being Barney with the 1 bullet. Dad called the other day and said that he had heard rumors that they were going to cut his throat and he needed Trent to bring his 1 bullet in case he needed some backup. Trent, needless to say, brought his 1 bullet. (In case your wondering about the hearing they were going to cut his throat, that is how they got the biopsy. They cut the throat and went down to the lungs that way.)

So, with God on dad's side and then with all the good luck we had going around that place we knew everything was going to turn out good.
Now the next picture is rather hilarious. Maybe you had to be there, I don't know but we all thought it was hilarious. Honestly without the voice it may not be but if you want to see and hear it all, just let me know. I can send ya a text of the voice along with it. See the picture and then the story to follow just below. Once we found out dads results came back good, we just busted loose and were total cut ups. I am so surprised we did not get kicked out of the hospital.
Who does this look like??? We have heard 2 people say Susan Boyle so other than her who is this?
COWARDLY LION!!! Ok tell me this woman does not look like the cowardly lion off of the Wizard of Oz. We got a picture of her and then me and Trent went outside and he done a reenactment of the cowardly lion voice and sayings and we recorded it with our phone. He sounded just like the cowardly lion and she looks just like it. We then sent them together as a text and it is now a ring tone on mom's phone.
Anyways, now that this has been a long blog I feel as if I am just rambling. Hope everyone else is doing well.
