Bullet's Pool

I meant to post these in the last blog but forgot. Yesterday we finally filled up the little pool that we got Bullet and let him play in it. He loved it. He would just jump in and jump out and keep on doing it over and over. He would get in and put his nose under and just blow bubbles. That really made us want to take him to a creak. He would also get in and just run in circles. We were so glad we actually got it for him after seeing how much he loved it.

Here he was running in circles.

Just laying there soaking it all in.

Anyways, that is all just wanted to post those. We are glad to be home with our baby.

Vacation, Life & MONSTER was defeated.

This blog is extremely lengthy with lots of pictures. I will give brief explanations of the pictures. This blog will sum up our entire trip and our current life right now.

The first day we were there, we finally landed and went to motel. After that we toured Fenway Park home of the Red Sox, went to China town and Boston Commons (Bostons oldest park). After that, we basically just went back to motel and relaxed. I have already posted pictures on that in a previous blog so will not do those again.

Day 2. Rode a trolley through the town and then went on a Cruise to see Boston Skyline and other things. Went to aquarium, Copps Hill Burrying Ground (nothing interesting), Old North Church, Paul Revere House, TD Banknorth, Sports Museum, and the Friday night game.

The penguins was about the only interesting thing at the aquarium. We thought this one was supposed to be good but basically, it sucked.

Old North Churh. This is where Paul Revere Hung the 2 lanterns in the steeple which touched off the War for Independence.

This is downtown Boston's oldest building. Paul Revere owned this home from 1770 to 1800.

This is where the Hockey team Boston Bruins and the Basketball team Boston Celtics play. They also have a Sports Museum inside there which we went through.

I have already posted some pictures from the Friday night game but here is another one. This is my man Lester. He is the 25 year old Cancer Survivor.

Day 3. We visited Bunker Hill, USS Cassin Young, USS Constitution, Harvard and the Museum, MIT and the Museum, and Cheers.

Bunker Hill Monument. Looks alot like the Washington Monument.

We got to walk to the very top which was 294 steps up and 294 steps down. It was a major killer especially since our legs had been killing us from all the walking anyways. It had great views from the top of it. This picture is us having to take a break before walking back down.

USS Cassin Young. A battle ship on the Boston Harbor.

USS Constitution on the Boston Harbor. Oldest Commissioned Warship still afloat. Fought battles in the War of 1812.

One of the Many big buildings at Harvard.

Not too many way interesting things in the Harvard Museum. We liked the dinosaur bones. Especially since Trent was in love with them when he was younger.

Here is MIT Mass. Institute of Technology.

That museum was pretty interesting with all the Robots and stuff like that. This is Kismet. He reads body gestures and things such as that. He makes about 15 different facial expressions. If you yell at him and scold him, he will make an upset face. Pretty neat.

This is the original Cheers where the show was taped. We sat in there on Saturday night and watched the 2nd RedSox game of the series.

Just me in front of the door.

Old State House. This balcony is where the Declaration of Independence was first read in 1776.

This round Cobblestone circle just represents where the Boston Massacre took place. This is the exact spot.

Old South Meeting House. This is where the Boston Tea party was started.

Grannary Burrying Ground. Walked around in here and saw some of the different people listed here.

Yeppers, we bought some tickets from a Scalper and also got to attend the last game of the Series.

This is just right before Jacoby Ellsbury STOLE HOME. I can't believe we witnessed this in person. It was amazing.

All the guys giving each other 5. We actually got to witness the 1 and 3 game of the series and OUR RED SOX SWEPT THE YANKEES. It was absolutely the greatest.

Anywho, that pretty much sums up our trip. It was absolutely amazing and we will definitely return to Boston. It will be several years due to it being so expensive but let it be known, we will return. Usually you are ready to get home from vacation and we so were not. I sat on the window seal at the motel and cried as we were packing up. I totally did not want to leave Other than to see our little Bullet. We definitely missed him.

More greatness has happened since returning home. I PASSED MY TEST. THE MONSTER HAS BEEN DEFEATED. OH MY GOSH I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. A raise is in store for me. I am officially an RPSGT.

Trent has been asked to help coach a 9 year old Baseball team. This is so great. He is defiantly following his daddys footsteps. I can't wait to go watch my baby coach and watch the little kiddos. That is gonna be so much fun for Trent and I am so proud of him.

Cruise. hmm. Not so sure about it right now. Since the swine flu, as of now Carnival not going to Mexico. I would say this is a good thing though. We will see where we end up going. I think they will reroute our trip somewhere else. Who knows what is going on with that.

I reckon this post is long enough so I will end it now. Hope everyone has been doing as GREAT as the Haddocks.

Day 2 RED SOX ROCK

This will be short and sweet. All that we done yesterday will not be posted becuase I have to get up and get ready for todays adventures however the best part of yesterday will have a few pictures below. Just quickly, we rode a trolley around to some of the sites. We got to go on a cruise to see Beautiful Boston Harbor, USS Constitution, and Bunker Hill. We will be going upclose to all of those today. We also went to aquarium, Paul Revere house, and Old North Church where Paul Revere hung the 2 lanters, and the Celtics arena. Pictures will come later of all of this stuff. On the other hand, If someone were to tell me that I experienced what I did, I would never ever believe it. The game was so AWESOME and best of all, our RED SOX WON. We went into 11 innings and we won it off of a single homer. Very very intense, LOVED the environment. It was crazy around there. Lets just say you don't mess with Red Sox fans on their home field. My throat is killing me this morning from screaming so much. Overall score was 5-4.

Thought this was Beautiful so I would go ahead and post it. This is the Boston Skyline from the cruise we took. This is the only picture of todays activities other than the game.

We were saying This is our 1 Year Anniversary trip and Red Sox are number one. This was while we were waiting on the game to start.

The game was so intense. We were on the edge of our seats from the 5 inning till the end of the 11th inning. In this picture we were showing that it was just getting too hard to watch. We were nervous. lol.

The victory. We WIN. YANKEES GO HOME. Words can never describe what we experienced yesterday.

Trent wants to know where the shy girl is that he met. You can't see it good but I am holding a bag of FENWAY PARK DIRT. We got to the game early so we got to walk down to the very bottom as we were standing there, this guy was on the field and giving balls to the little kids. Trent asked him to get us one and he said he tried, we were next to get one but batting practice was over and we couldn't get anymore so I said how about just give us a little dirt, he scooped it right up and put it in my hands. Luckily we had a zip lock baggie in my bag I was carriying. I can not believe we actually got some dirt from there especially on the best game day ever.

I reckon this is all for now. We did not get in till 2am this morning so I have hardly had sleep and now gotta get ready for today. Will try later to post more.

Here are a few videos of our trip so far.

This is the video of us actually landing in Boston. My Gramamaw always told me it looked like ya were going to land in the ocean and it sure does. It was great.

Oops this one was downloaded on accident and took too long to download it so might as well leave it now. We were Waiting on the subway to arrive

We were riding the subway during this obviously but it was so hilarious because while Trent was saying this about Ch ch china town, there was a chinese lady sitting there watching when he done his little head bow and of course she got off in China town with us. Yeah I about died laughing.

Hope ya enjoy

Day 1

Wow there has been a lot just in the first day. I think my legs are totally going to fall off. WARNING TONS AND TONS OF PICS THEREFORE SHORT, VERY SHORT DESCRIPTIONS.

We had just landed and we were so totally excited. For 1, we were in Boston and 2 we were getting away from about 4 extremely obnoxious people sitting around us.

This picture was taken all of about 2 minutes before landing. The view was Gorgeous.

We are totally sitting on the GREEN MONSTER right here. Whoa, it was awesome from there.

This picture is actually very cute when it is blow up. We were taking a tour of Fenway.
Umm yeah a bridge but can't think of the name of it. But good picture of Boston.
Just some city streets.

After the stadium tour, we went to China Town. Yeah it was just not what we expected. Nothing spectacular at all but I guess it was an experience. We can atleast say we have been there. Getting to China town was quiet the trip though for us trying to figure out how and where to get on the subway, that is all a long funny story in itself. Lets just say me and Trent was in full force sprint trying to catch a bus which we did not catch in the end.

We then walked in the Boston Common which is the oldest park in Boston. It was very pretty. This is just part of the skyline from the park.

This is the Boston fire station. We just thought it was a pretty cool looking station.

Long story but I had to set the motel straight 1st thing. We were supposed to have a nice view of the city from our room and this is what they stuck us in. I quickly corrected them and they switched us to the room we were originally supposed to have. Our original room we was supposed to have was not clean so they just gave us a different one. Sitting on the bed this was our view. Yes their other tower. Yes we could see some city if we walked to the window but ugh. So totally not what we expected. I think not. When they changed it to what we were supposed to have this was our new view.

Yes this is much better. The excellent city views we expected.

I know not too good but this is the night view from our room. Too bad the flash reflects cause I can't get good ones.

I am gonna try to post a seperate post with video. It kept freezing up and not working on this blog so it may not work but I am gonna try. Hope everyone enjoys the pics.

Just the beginning

Wow so it is just the beginning of vacation and it is already super de duper exciting. We decided to go ahead and come to Nashville tonight to try to prevent waking too early for our flight. We are staying about half a mile away from the airport however still have to get up around 3:45am. yuck, that is way early. I guess that means bedtime is in about 45 minutes for us. Anywho, here is some pictures for the beginning of our trip.

While we were packing, the baby thought he was going with us. He even jumped up in the car. It totally broke my heart.

Poor baby, I am gonna miss him so very much. He is all packed up. All his stuff is waiting on top of his kennel for grandpa Haddock to come and get him. He is a grandpa boy so he should have fun.

Mom this picture was just for you. I done as I usually seem to do. Oops Trent's head is gone.

K this one is much better. We are at the gas station filling up on our way to Nashville.

Trent kicked up in the bed relaxing and dreaming of Boston. No actually, of course watching sports center and watching some games played today. We are staying in the La Quinta about half a mile from airport. It is actually pretty decent. It was pretty impressive because about 10 minutes after getting in the room and settling in, front desk called to make sure everything was good. That was unusual I thought but it was nice.

We can not wait to fly out tomorrow. I am SO SO SO Super pumped. MY MAN is suppossed to be pitching the game we are going to. Jon Lester is totally my man. He is 25 years old and in remission of Cancer and he is an awesome pitcher. So great that he can pull through cancer and play for the pro's. Trent definately gotta buy me a Lester shirt to wear to the game now. Yipee.
Anywho, if time permits, we will post a new blog each night of our trip with pictures and everything we done for that day. Like I said though if time permits. We may get too wrapped up a few nights and not get in till late and may not be able to. lol.
That shall be all till tomorrow

What not to say to a Cops Wife!!!

I read this somewhere and just had to post it. I just find it humerus because the most of it if not all of it is so very true.

What NOT to Say to a Police Wife

1. "Aren't you afraid that he'll be killed?"
Of course we are terrified. The thought always lingers at the back of our minds-- but thanks, you just brought it back to the front. Maybe next you can go ask someone with cancer if they're scared of dying..

2. "I don't know how you manage. I don't think I could do it."
It's not like all of us law enforcement wives have been dreaming since childhood of the day we'd get to be anxious single moms who carry cell phones with us to the bathrooms when our husbands are on duty or out on a dangerous domestic disturbance call. We're not made of some mysterious matter that makes us more capable, we just got asked/told to take on a challenging job and we rose to the challenge.

3. "At least he's not in Iraq."
You know, you're right. He's NOT in Iraq. He's in my town...in YOUR town...waging a battle against crackheads, drug dealers, prostitutes, child molesters, murderers, gang bangers, and people who don't think twice before harming or killing another person, especially a police officer. Don't get me wrong, though, I am very glad he gets to come home to me after a hard days/nights work, rather than being away for months at a time. Oh, and did you forget a lot of ex-military, who HAVE served in Iraq, are now law enforcement officers?

4. "Do you think he'll get to be off work for Christmas/ Anniversary/ Birthday/ Birth of Child/ Wedding/ Family reunion, Etc? Can't he just take off work?"
Do you think that the crackheads, drug dealers, prostitutes, child molesters, murderers, gang bangers, rapists, and all the other law breakers care that it's Christmas, our anniversary, my birthday, the day our child is about to be born, my cousin's wedding, our family reunion or any other holiday? No. Oh, and taking off work means that his shift will be down a person, meaning someone doesn't have a partner, or back-up. He could take off, if he really wanted too, but sometimes his loyalty to the badge and his brothers is more important.

5. "What's the best way to get out of a ticket? Can he get me out of a ticket?"
The best way to get out of a ticket is simple. Don't break the law. And no, he's not going to get you out of a ticket. Let that ticket serve as a warning that not everyone gets away with just a ticket. ..next time you run that red light or are driving 100 mph down the interstate...think of the people that have died because their cars lost control or because someone else hit them. Believe it or not, he actually has your safety and the safety of others in mind.

6. "Why did he decide to become a cop? Surely he could find something less dangerous to do to make him happy."
I don't know! Why did your husband decide to become a banker? Cops have law enforcement coursing through their veins from the minute they're born. It's something in their blood that they are just supposed to do. Taking away his ability to be a police officer would be like me taking away your child...he'd have a big gaping hole that couldn't be filled and he'd NEVER be happy.

7. "Dealing with his crazy schedules/job hazards shouldn't be so bad, now that you're used to it."
Sure we learn coping skills and we figure out ways to make life go smoother while our officers are at work. But it never gets easier and the bullets don't skip over our guys just because they've been been working the same zone for a few years. The worry never goes away.

8. "My husband had to work a couple of crazy late night shifts at the office last month. I totally know what you're going through."
Do not equate your husband's overtime to our husbands working in a crime infested neighborhood night after night, being faced with violence, drugs, and death. Besides the obvious difference that one or two hours at the office after a lazy day reclined in a chair staring at a computer is nothing like a shift on the road, for one nobody shot at your husband or threatened his safety. Your husband could call home pretty much any time he wanted to, doesn't have to arm himself with two guns, a bullet proof vest, a taser, pepper spray and a hidden knife for his personal safety, and didn't have to look at the body of a dead child that got ahold of her drug dealer father's stash and overdosed, or have to take a report from a teenage girl that was just raped. There is no comparison. **We do not feel bonded to you in the slightest because of this comment and if anything we probably resent you a bit for comparing an office job to law enforcement.**

9. "Don't you miss him? Doesn't it upset you that he has to miss so much of your life and the lives of your children?"
No we like being single parents! We like having Christmas dinner a week after the day has passed because he had to work. We enjoy having to tell our children that daddy can't come to any of their sporting events because he works every Friday night. Are you nuts?! Of course we miss them. If we didn't we'd get divorced.

10. "There is really crime where you live? He could really get shot?"
This is almost like asking a Jewish person from Germany in the 40's who Hitler was, or if the sky is really blue. Don't you read the papers, or watch the news? YES. There is crime. Where there is crime, there are law enforcement officers. Do you think they are superheroes? Impenatrable to bullets? They're out there, on the forefront, protecting YOU, so you can sleep soundly in your bed at night. They're arresting drug dealers so they can't get your children addicted. No matter the size of the town, if it requires a police department, there is a very likely chance that there is at least a moderate crime rate. If there is violence, there s a chance he'll get injured in the line of duty. **Oh, and by the way, thanks for bringing that worry to the forefront of my mind again.**

11. "Well he signed up for it, so it's his own fault what ever happens. "
Yeah well your parents made you so what ever happened in your life they dealt with. Does that seem fair if you had uncontrollable sickness or handicap? Our husbands signed up, went through the Academy, leave their families each night and day to face God knows what...and for what? To protect you and your right to make stupid remarks about his choice. He didn't ask to be the bad guy for having to write a ticket, get hit with bullets, or see decomposing bodies. He didn't ask to see children abandoned by prostitute mothers, or teenagers addicted to heroin. He didn't ask to be called every name in the book because he has to write you a ticket or reprimand you for doing something stupid. He didn't ask for all the animosity he faces from people like you everyday....everyday that is until you need him to protect or serve you. Believe us when we say he sure as hell isn't doing it for the big paycheck, because we have yet to see one of those.

12. "Don't you miss the sex you could have all the time if he weren't working nights?! I couldn't do it!"
Well that'd be why you aren't a law enforcement wife/ girlfriend/fiancé. We know that sex is not the basis of a strong marriage/relationship but self control and being able to be self reliable. If sex holds your relationship together how sad. Love holds ours together. Oh, and so does sex in the morning, or afternoon, even if I'm a little tired in the morning going to work.

13. "Just call him. Just call him back. Etc.."
Oh sure! Do you happen to have the number of the drug dealer whose house he's standing outside of getting ready to break down the door for a SWAT raid? I'm sure he'd be more than happy to come outside and hand my husband the phone. Or, better yet, would you prefer my husband to answer the phone when I call or pull your family member from the wreckage of their car? It's not that easy to just pick up the phone and call him, even if he IS just a phone call away.

14. "Don't you worry he will be different...that the job will change him?"
Of course I worry he will be different as time passes, or that the job will harden him. How could I not be? He's not tanning on a beach in Tahiti every night-- he's looking at the worst of the worst. I worry he will harden his heart to everyone over time, including me and our children. I worry that he'll start looking at everyone who loves him and see the worst qualities in us all. But, I do know that in some aspects, there is nothing I can do. He will be different, the more he sees and the longer he's on the job. We will be different, because I will refuse to let him harden completely. Because we love each other everything will be just fine.

Now please shut up. You've given me a headache.*

I read this and absolutely loved it!!!!!

Family Weekend and More

First I will start with something ironic. Lol. Me and Trent went to a Chinese restaurant the other day (just this week) and when he opened his fortune cookie he just laughed and handed it to me and told me to read it. Not verbatim but it said, No obstacles will get in your way next week (Boston week). We just thought that it was so ironic that it was for the week of Boston. As of now, No rain in the forecast other than possible chances on Sunday and it is only slight showers so it should not be anything too bad. We were also expecting other things to take place that week which had changed to this week. It was just so funny how we got that and everything is totally working out in our favor and going just as planned. (See end of blog for more working in our favor)

This weekend went great. I got off work Saturday morning and got a few hours of sleep then my sis and mom came to see me. We just hung out, halfway watched a few shows then got ready and went to ear supper with my Trentie while he was at work. We totally meant to take pictures of me, mom and Amber while we were all looking decent but that totally slipped our minds I guess. I did not even think about it till today. Oops too late now. Anywho, here are some pictures of Bullet with Mom and Amber. He has become a Monster since they saw him last. It has been since December when they saw him last.

Mom was laying on the couch and Bullet decided he would do her just like he does me. He jumped right up there with her and light right on top of her. He has always been a Granny's boy when she is around.

These next pictures are pretty humorous. K the pictures are funny but if you were actually here, me and Amber where dying laughing during these pictures.
In this picture you can see what was going on. Me and Amber was on the computer looking at something and she was leaning over next to me. Bullet the jealous little guy that he is decided he would crawl up on Amber and lay across her with his head in my arm. He is a mess.

Yes he is laying right on top of her head.

This picture, we were trying to get him off but couldn't due to laughing too much. In the end, he just ended up trampling her to death.
Overall, the weekend was great but it flew by however it normally does anyways.
On another note. We still do not have my car back. It is not horrible just frustrating. We hope to get all this taken care of before we leave for Boston. I have CPR class on Tuesday and I will gladly go and not complain this time in hopes that I will get there and back just safely. Lol.
Oh my gosh, Boston is so just right around the corner. It seriously is still just so surreal. It will really set in Wednesday night when we go to Nashville to stay and get ready to go. Our Red Sox are coming back. They have now won 3 games in a row. We just may be in luck for them doing well while we are there. Just as my previous post said, God is so Good. More has happened that we are just so Thankful for. When we bought Trent vest we was under the impression we would not get paid back until July. Well fortunately and we don't know what happened but when Trent went into work last night, he had a check waiting on him which was reimbursement for the vest. This is so great because now due to that, we will not have to get into our banking account at all for our trip. That is amazing and will help us our tremendously.
I have so much I need to be doing right now. Packing, cleaning, take boo out. Yeah I guess that means I need to get off here and get busy since it is almost 11.
