MEET BULLET!!!

So like I said in a previous blog we have been wanting some sort of a puppy. Trent has always loved labs and wanted one and I like labs alot too. So last night I was on the internet and come accross some labs a lady was selling for $25 of course we could not pass up that opportunity. So we called the lady got some details, met with her and now have a little lab puppy. He is just the sweetest little thing. I am gonna take him to the vet tomorrow and get him seen and just a good check up. So before we left the house to get him, we was debating on names. I liked the name copper and out of no where Trent said what about Bullet? I liked that name immediately so of course being a cops dog what a silly yet perfect name but his name is Bullet. We met the lady and fell in love with him. We then took him to show Trents mom and dad but they were not home so we just put him in their pool and let him swim and he loved it but got cold. He just had a bath right before the lady brought him to us or else we would have let him get in the creek that runs behind his parents house. It really kinda sucks because we just got him and now have to leave him when we go to Florida but oh well. Here are some pictures of him.

Just right after we got him and drove away. He loves riding in the car.

Bullet sleeping and Trent acting like he was sleeping with him. Bullet is inside a pillow case with his head poking out.

Just playing

When he is outside, he has the craziest places he likes to lay. The top picture is him laying under the deck to where I had to crawl up under there and get him. The second picture, he is laying under Trents patrol car in the very middle where you can't get to him.

He is such a sweet little doggy. We love him so much already.

HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

So on Sunday the 22nd, I had my cousin Kendra to text me and tell me happy birthday, then I signed onto facebook and there was 2 messages from people and also the facebook crew telling me happy birthday. I was just kinda like oops I obviously put my birthday in wrong on facebook when I signed up. Then when I get to work on Sunday night at Baptist, around midnight, Heather comes walking in with a birthday cake with candles lit and everything. I was kinda in my own little zone and not paying any attention so I thought she was taking it to one of the other 2 guys sitting beside me then I realized she kept on staring at me. I then remembered about facebook and started dying laughing and put my head down on the desk and said It's not my Birthday. Such a look of disappointment came over her face so I just want to say THANKS MY HEATHER FOR THE EARLY BIRTHDAY CAKE. I LOVE YA GIRL!!! It tasted great even though it was a month early. So I now get to celebrate 2 birthdays and I am kinda thinking maybe I will just change my birthday every month. LOL.

Weekly Update!!!

So this week has went OK, we got some of what we wanted done but not all. Thanks to Trent bless his heart, he has worked his butt off on the house. I had helped him some but I did not get to do much. For about the last month and a half, I have been having all kinds of crazy symptoms (won't go into detail) then about 3 weeks ago my back started hurting. I went to the doctor on Monday and found out I had a cyst almost 4cm big on my ovary and it is leaking and causing all kinds of pain and discomfort. The doctor said it is nothing to be concerned about that it will rupture and take care of itself but until then I will just have to wait it out and take the medicine. Anyways got a little sidetracked but I helped mow by riding the mower and Trent done the rest. After he done the mowing, he started pressure washing the house. It took Trent about 10 hours just to do the house. We wish we would have done before and after pictures but we did not think about it until after we got the house finished. Oh my we did not realize how bad it was but it honestly looks like we got brand new vinyl on the house. It looks great. I gots to say I got the bestest hubby ever. He is a very hard worker and does it all. We still have some that we need to do to the house. I am going to work on the inside of the house tonight and do some until I just can't do no more but other than that, we need to get the garage cleaned and do some landscaping. I really did not get any pictures like I wanted because I started hurting and came in so this is all I got but here are some pictures of Trent working on the house and the after product. Too bad you can't compare and see what it looked like before but believe me it looks great now.

Here is Trent spraying the house with the mixture to clean it then after he done this, he pressure washed it.

This is a spot on the porch that was just awful. It was probably the worst spot of the whole house. This is the spot that made me realize that the house even needed to be done. It looks so good now.

I know you really can't tell anything from this picture it being so far away but we love our Homey home and it looks brand new!!!

So my work. Hum where to start. I am REALLY REALLY hoping Baptist will do something soon. I have gotten called off work 2 times this week in Columbia and may even get called off on Monday. It has been really slow and it just makes me nervous. I got to have the money coming in somewhere and with me getting called of 2 times already this week, this is gonna be the worst check I have had in quiet some time. Not to mention if I get called off Monday. I will really be in trouble then.

Well I guess this is enough of an update for now.

Some Changes

In the past, I had expressed to Baptist that I would like full time there and the other day, I finally got an email saying that they were thinking about hiring me full time. This would be great because of a few different reasons. One, they pay better in general (including gas mileage). Two, I will get benefits which would be a huge plus. Where I am employed at now does not offer insurance which sucks because I have a private policy which is outrageously expensive so I am sure with this being through such a large hospital and it actually being a company instead of private, it will be cheaper on us. And last but not least, I feel like I will really be getting into a place where I will have more opportunities and much more job security. Not to sure when this change will happen but I can't wait and hopefully it will happen soon. The only bad thing is, we are really liking my good checks coming in from working so many hours and I don't know that my full time job now will keep me for PRN or even have the hours to give me. This is not totally horrible but we really like the extra money and Trent has already mentioned him getting a second job. I really don't want Trent working 2 jobs. His job is too stressful and I would really prefer for him not to work more than necessary. He really never expresses that he gets stressed at work but I know his job has got to be way more stressful and more demanding than mine. Not to mention that he does work not only his hours but at times he even works extra by having to go to court and things like that. I just really don't want him to over do it. I would much rather me work 2 jobs than him for health reasons and because it would also be much easier for me to have a more flexible schedule than him. I never schedule myself to work my PRN job on days that he is off so that we can have that time together or otherwise with that many hours, we would never see each other.

Just an update in general, things are going great at the Haddock household. Trent has been gone to Nebraska which he is loving. He went to the Baseball College World Series and has said he wants to turn it into a yearly tradition so hopefully we can go back next year and I will be able to go with him. I also hope one of these days, to take him to a Boston Red Socks game at the Fenway Park in Boston. He has also always wanted to do that so we will have some good, fun things to look forward to. A closer in the future thing to look forward to is, we are returning to Destin, FL on the 28th of this month and will be there for the 4th of July. We will come home on the 5th. I absolutely can not wait. We are going with Leah and her boyfriend and we are gonna have a blast.

This week will be busy for the two of us. I work Monday and Tuesday and Trent comes back
Monday and has to work Tuesday then the two of us both also have to work the week end. However we are both off on Wednesday and Thursday and our house to me just seems to be really dirty on the outside (which we all know vinyl tends to do that) so we are going to have a good cleaning day and pressure wash the outside of the house and clean the garage out really good and do some things on the inside just to have a good Summer cleaning so I am sure we will have lots of fun doing that (sarcasm). We are hoping at some point to get some landscaping done. We need to soo bad. However, we will not get to do it until next year though if we don't hurry up and get on the ball and get it done. It is just a little hard though with our schedules like they are to get too much done together and to me, the around the house stuff at this point is a little more important than the landscaping. Hopefully though we can get it done this year.

Well I guess that is enough of an update for now but until next time hope everyone is doing well.
We love you all very much!!!

I SHALL NEVER GET LOST AGAIN!!!

I now have a GPS. They are pretty nifty little things. It seriously amuses me big time. It is just a tiny little thing so now it is mine and Trents baby as we call it. We say it is just a baby so we had to name it. As we were laying in bed, we came up with his name. I know, I know, me and Trent are nuts. That is why we are so great together because we can be silly like that. Anyways back to the point, his name is gogo speedracer king haha. It is gogo becuase it will help us gogo wherever we need to. Speedracer becuase obviously its owner is a speed racer and needs to learn to slow down. And last but not least king, it is king becuase in the movie Cars, when Lightning McQueen is dreaming he is the king, his car is blue. On the GPS when you are driving, you are a little blue car.

Here is gogo speedracer king. He even talks to ya.

Trent says I can no longer call him and say I am lost help me. He laughs at me becuase one time I was going somewhere and I called and said I am lost while freaking out and asked him to help me. He said ok calm down where are you and I responded and said well I dont know but I am lost. He was like ok well if you dont know where you are then how am I supposed to help you get unlost. Also, one other time I was so lost, my mom had to come to my rescue and pick me up from where I was. It was a good 4 hour drive for her to get me and then for the trip back home. And oh my Heather, she laughs at me every time I leave Baptist. I have to follow her out. I just now finally figured out how to leave there by myself without her. God bless everyone who has had to rescue me in my oh so needy situations. So now thanks to gogo speedracer king (lol) I shall never be lost again.

Robot Wife

Due to the rain and the way our work schedule works out, it has been a while since our yard had been mowed so it had started looking pretty rough. Trent had to work yesterday but woke up at 2:30 and I told him to tell me how to work the mower and I would mow the yard for him. He said no just come back to bed with me so I was like ok but the yard ain't gonna get mowed. So we wake up at 4:30 and he says ok you can go mow the yard now. By this point I already had plans to go to Columbia to get some things done. He then proceeded to jokingly tell me that I don't do anything to help him so he was just going to trade me in for a Robot Wife. Today, we wake up he gets ready to go mow and he asked me to go pay the water bill so I did. When I got back, he was weed eating and I said do you want me to mow the yard so he said ok sure. He proceeded to give me Lawn Mowing 101 and taught me how to use the mower since I had never mowed a yard before. I mowed the yard while he weed eated and pushed mowed around the house. He stood there and laughed at me for a while but I got the job accomplished. I am now no longer being traded in for a Robot wife.

Just thought I would share our funny story with everyone. Job well done to me!!!

Keeping Family Updated

I just thought I would do a little something to keep our family in on everything, especially mine since I am so far away from everyone now. I dont have much of an update to give for now but I will give a little one.

The wedding went absolutely wonderful and Thanks to everyone who had a part in it and also to those who were able to be there. We love you all so much. To see our wedding pictures, just go to www.shannonhairr.com/store

Married life is great. We are definately enjoying our time together. After being so far away from each other for so long this time was much needed for the two of us.

We are happily living in Summertown. However, it has definately been an adjustment for me getting used to living 2 hours away from my family. Used to if I was wanting to go anywhere I would just tell my mom and she would just jump in the car and go. Me and mom are so close, we done everything together so getting used to not having her here is hard. I am sure I bug the crap out of her calling her about 10 times a day. Overall though, I love our house and where we are at. We live in the best neighborhood possible and you never even here a peep out of anyone. We own 2 acres and love it.

As far as our jobs go, Trent is still working for the Sheriffs Department in Lawrence County. I am now working full time in Columbia and PRN at Baptist hospital in Nashville. I am officially done in Winchester which is great because I am now able to be at home and spend time with Trent that we have never been able to have before.

Well I guess that is it for now but we will try to keep everyone updated as often as possible. We love you all.
