Just some more pics of Bullet yesterday for mom!

This what the baby looked like all day yesterday. All doped up on anesthesia and could barely hold his eyes open He is such a big boy. He is only 7 months old now

But he is still such a big baby. I love this picture

he has the cone to keep him from licking and biting at the incision while we are gone or in bed. However, he somehow got it off tonight while I was gone. He ain't no dummy. How he got it unvelcrowed is beyond me

As you can tell the cone is on here. We was letting him get used to it and it did not seem to be bothering him. For once, he was as innocent as he looked
he loves his mommy.

We were tired and he had crashed while laying on me. He was totally out of it. You could not budge him cause he was just dead weight.

He is recovering well. He is still extremely calm and loveable again today. It is very nice him being calm. He is playing a little more (picks up his toy for a brief minute, then drops them) and he is actually wanting to halfway (note key word halfway) run at slower pace than normal (but you can tell he is wanting to move around a little more). He is now clinged to my side like normal. He is again following me all around the house. Yesterday he wanted to act mad at us and not want to acknowledge us when talking to him. We would say his name and he would stare straight and refuse to look at us. If we got infront of him, he would look the other way. Overall, you can tell he is a little better than yesterday though.

My Poor Baby!

I must admit. I am a pathetic pet lover now. I hated to drop my baby off to get neutered today. I didn't want to leave him. I never thought it would be that way. Anywho. Surgery went well, but when we picked him up he is still groggy. He is his same normal self as far as going to everyone and that tail going crazy but you can tell he is super groggy still. And something we noticed was totally different was usually as soon as the car door opens, he is in in a heartbeat. Well, when trying to leave the vet, he would not get in the car. He kept walking away. We have come to the conclusion we think it is cause it hurts him to climb in but that was still very odd. He loves to go on rides. Well the baby went through surgery so he had to get something out of it. We got him a new blanket for his chair and a new treat. His treat is a really thick bone that taste like roast beef. Yeah he spoiled. Here are some pictures of the baby after surgery.

In the car after leaving the vets office. He is chewing on his new bone treat.

Daddy loving on him when we got home.

Poor baby, he just has that I am so pitiful look on his face. He just a resting right after we got home.

With discharge instructions, it says that it will probably be difficult for Bullet but we have to try to restrict exercising, jumping, and strenuous activity for 3 weeks. What? Just for being neutered. Who ever knew that? I sure didn't. Anywho, this will be very difficult for a 7 month old spoiled rotten black lab but I guess we will try the best we can. We also have to keep him from scratching or licking at his sutures. With an allergic dog, keeping him from licking and scratching, near impossible. We got him a collar thing that is like a lampshade on him. We have not used it yet and I prefer not to but we got it just in case. He also got another allergy shot while there today because of his over obsessive scratching making him go bald in spots.

Just wanted to update everyone on the baby. Again, he is doing fine overall, just groggy. Right now he is laying on my legs sleeping on the couch with me.

Not as Bad as Expected!

CAUTION VERY VERY LONG BLOG:

The Central air and heat people came out today and immediately knew what the problem was as soon as he turned the unit on and heard the noise. However, the noise he heard was outside and not the same noise we was hearing from our bedroom none the less, we found the problem. The first thing that came to his mind was that the unit had been hit by lightening. It would be nice if that could be proved so that the house insurance would pay for it, however, it cant be proved. The problem ended up being that the Compressor was bad. He said either the lightening struck it or it just went out on its own. We also have a freon leak. The biggest problem was obviously the compressor being out. Due to the compressor, this is what was running our bill up outrageously. We had also noticed the past few weeks that our lights had been flickering and it was driving us nuts. Well come to find out, the compressor and the lights flickering are all tied together because the unit was using so much "juice" (compressor not working = some major juicing up to run strictly off of heat strips) it was causing the the lights to flicker. Since we can't prove that lightning hit it home insurance more than likely would not pay but the good side of it is that the "unit guy=named Moby" pulled a series of warranty numbers off the unit and is trying to get it approved through warranty. The only problem we would possible come across would be that we are not the original home owners and did not change that with the warranty. (note: remember crazy phsyco previous home owner = no clue where any type of warranty for anything would be). However luckily Moby did not seem to think it would be a problem. We sure hope not. Things are not as bad as we were assuming they would be but we know one part he has to order to fix the leak is $500 itself, that not including other parts needed and we have to pay for labor. I talked to my mom and she said their compressor went out and it costed them around $800 just for that so I really don't know how much we are looking at so hopefully warranty will cover it but like I said it still not as bad as we expected so we will gladly settle with it. Also another good thing is Trent has known Moby for a very long time which is a big bonus due to the fact that Moby said whether covered by warranty or not, he is going to cut us a deal.

We were then hoping since this is something out of our control, the Power department would credit our bill some. NOPE not so lucky they say it is out of their control just like it is out of ours. The good thing is though by having the unit totally turned off for 3 days, we saved approx $200. When I had talked to them on Friday, they said at the rate we were running electricity it would be well over $400 next month (which they said today $490) if nothing was changed in the amount we are using it. We then talked to them again today and now that we got the problem fixed, if we run electricity like we always have and problem truly is fixed the next bill will be about $300.

So to put a little humor in it all. Maybe this is a "you had to be there" thing but none the less me and Trent had cracked up over the whole situation. K maybe it not a laughing matter but we just kinda look at it like how can ya be mad about it when it is just something totally out of your control. Make the best of it and get over it. We have had our heat off for 3 days and finally cut it back on today. Yesterday was cold, it had dropped down to the 60's. Luckily we just slept, woke up, got ready for work, and went to work and did not have to be home to worry about it. Today on the other hand, was freezing and we had to deal with it. When we got home from work, the temperature in the house was 56 degrees. Yeah I about died. I got home, changed into very warm clothes, long sleeve shirt and fleece pants, got another very thick down blanket and put on top of our other blanket and crawled in bed. Holy cow it was freezing when I got in. I noticed Trent was not wearing his mask so I asked him why? he replied back with "I thought the humidifier water had frozen by now. I literally about lost it. It was just hilarious the way he had said it. I had for once not cared he wasn't wearing his mask because I said I did not want his puffer (in sleep tech terms exhalation port, in normal people terms a little vent that lets out air where people are not rebreathing there carbon dioxide all night) blowing on me and making me any colder. We had laid there for a good hour cracking up just how cold it was. Trent kept threatening he was wearing his toboggan while sleeping and acting very goofy covering up his one side of his face that was not squished on the pillow cause his ears were freezing. I so so wish we had pictures from this morning. It was just priceless how we were all bundeled up and silly. We finally fell asleep around 9:15 and was woken up at 9:30 due to Moby saying he was on his way. When we woke up, our face was ice cubes because that was the only part not covered under blanket. Moral of our story is make the best out of things you have no control over. Laughter has definitely been the story of our weekend. I never thought I could laugh so hard over something so expensive but we have definitely made the best of it.

Last but not least. Bullet is finally getting fixed tomorrow (well at this point I guess it is today.) I shall post and let everyone know how he is later. This blog is too long as it is. More update on Bullet to come.

Rather Amazing

Well they Central air and heating people did not show up today however I am not an ice cube yet. Actually somehow, I am getting rather hot. The house has not gotten any cooler than 70 and during the day today, it has gotten back up to 73. It is crazy cause even when the system was on 74, I would complain I was cold. Trent said he had noticed sometimes when it was going that it would not even blow out warm or hot air even though it was on heat that it would blow cool air. Therefore I really want to believe the heating unit is what the problem is. Who knows. Hopefully dude will show up on Monday and we can come to a conclusion. Anywho just wanted everyone not to worry about me freezing at this point. I know my parents were worried about it but so far, so good. And the best, wether the unit is the problem or not, saving electricity out of it. Lol

Wow, Holy Cow how in the Heck did that happen!

So Christmas went great. We had a great time with both families and got lots of great things including money (that is especially great right now, see story at end of blog). Thanks to everyone for everything. Here are some pictures.

Christmas Eve at Gramamaws house.

Christmas Day at Trent's parents house.

Boo playing with one of his toy granny and popa Haddock got him.
We did not have an extra person there to take the picture so I set the self timer on my camera and ran over to the picture. This is My in laws. Yes santa clause is my father in law lol.

Now for the crazy title of the blog.....

A few days before Christmas, we recieved our electricity bill in the mail and Holy Cow what in the heck happened and how in the heck did it happen was our thoughts. Our electricity bill has never been over $160 since living here and this month, it is $279. We over looked things and went on and enjoyed our Christmas together. Friday, I called the Power department and questioned our bill, rechecked the meter, and everything. Unfortuneately, the bill is correct. The man at the power department was very shocked himself so went back and traced all bills and said that our highest bill was obviously last December and then, it was still only $160 therefore there should be no reason of it being so high. Here is the kicker of it all. He said that he could already tell that at the rate we are already using electricity this month, our bill will be well over $400 this next month. Yes at this point my jaw hit the floor and my hands started trembeling. How in the heck. I told him I had no clue how all of this could happen becuase we are not doing anything any different than we have every since we have lived here so how could it be possible. He suggest that we first have our central air and heating unit checked and if that is not the problem, that we should check for a hot water heater leak. I got to thinking about things, and thought, afterall our heating unit does make a slight noise when it kicks on (I know all do make somewhat a noise when coming on but this is an unusual sound, not normal). I then immediately turned around and called the Central air people and they will be coming out on Saturday or Monday to see if there is a problem. Until then I had decided to turn our air from 74 (which is still better than last year becuase last year it was on 76) down to 70. I then went to Nashville with my sister in law and decided to call Trent and have him to totally turn it off. K so for all of you who know me. This is absolutely gonna kill me. I think I am gonna die of frost bite. It is cold outside and our unit is TOTALLY TURNED OFF. That right no heat for me. I would rather bundle up in thermals, fleece, 10 blankets, etc, etc, etc, whatever I need to do to help prevent getting a $500 electricity bill next month hopefully being halfway prevented by turning it totally off for several days till possible problem is fixed. Hopefully they can get here ASAP and get the problem figured out and get things fixed so that our bill will hopefully not be as much as we are already expecting. I believe it is supposed to rain (pour) today (Saturday) which totally sucks cause I am really hoping they get out here today and I am sure they don't want to stand in pouring rain to figure out what going on. I read something on the internet and someone else also recently explained the same thing to me without knowing I read it on the internet but it kinda sounds like we may have a bad heating coil in the air unit. To our knowledge, that could get pretty pricey however I would rather pay and get it taken care of instead of constantly racking up these electricity bills. Keep us in your prayers that this is nothing way way too major and pretty easy to fix. I will update when we get a solution. Also, until then, wish me lots and lots of warmth lol.

1 Gift a Piece 12 Days Before Christmas

K so me and Trent have always been the worlds worst about actually being able to hold gifts until Christmas time. I have been wanting to do the 12 days of Christmas and Trent keeps saying no. However, tonight he did ask if I wanted to open up one gift a piece tonight. I automatically knew which one I was giving him and him on the other hand, he had to think just a minute. Of course. I absolutely could not resist. We are pathetic. Just like little kids. Anywho here are some pics and descriptions of our eventful night opening one present a piece (yes that does incluede Bullet).

He made me open mine first. I got a gift certificate to get my hair done (cut and color) and also a good bottle of hairspray.

He kept a wondering what was in the big box. Well here it is. This was bought to prevent him from moving the recliner to the middle of the floor every time he decided he wanted to play one of his games. His parents actually bought us a big rug for our living room so that stopped him but now he has a chair to sit in. I guess you could say that I bought this, the game and then gun all to go together. Just perfect.

We can't forget the little BooBoo. He also got ot open one of his tonight. Trent says in the picture, it looks like he is looking up and saying Thanks Mommy for the gift. He just got a dental floss rope. It is the big thing there between his legs, not the one to the side. Trent laughed at me when I actually wrapped Bullets present but it was fun to watch him try to open it and he actually totally unwrapped it himself.

Me and Trentie right after opening our "1 a piece". I sure do loves my hubby. Even if I must say so myself, we are pretty darn cute together.

I was looking at this picture laughing becuase if you could actually see it blown up to full screen size, you can see that Bullet head looks like it is 2 of mine. I was trying to kiss him and he kept moving away playing with his new toy. That why I am making that face.

Christmas is obviously only in 12 more days and we can't wait. We love Christmas.

OH WHAT A DAY!

Oh my has it been a crazy day or what. Well first of all, I clocked out of work at 6:48am. As I got on the interstate, I hear on the radio that interstate 65S was closed and blocked off due to an overturned tractor trailor. Unfortunately by this time, it was too late to turn around. I sit in traffic forever. Within an hour and a half I had only moved 0.1 miles if that tells ya anything. Anywho to make a long story short, I usually make it home from work in an hour and 5 minutes and today, it took me 4 and a half hours to make it home. I was so mad. On top of sitting in traffic, during the night at work, I started feeling sickly so needless to say, I definately did not feel like sitting in 4 hour traffic. I love where I work and everything about it but I said this morning that I finally realize why everyone tells me I am crazy for working in Nashville. I really can't complain though saying that this is the first one I have ever ran into. Here are a few pictures of my entertainment for the morning.

This is what I sat through this morning.

Here ya go, here is a bit of a closer view. It was absolutely horrible. It took me 3 hours to drive approx 2 miles at the most. I don't believe it was even that far.

Since I was feeling sickly and I did not even get home until 11:15am I called into work for the night and said I was not setting an alarm, I was just sleeping in until I woke up no matter what time that may have been. I was then woke up due to a phone call at 6 something telling me to look outside that it was snowing. I had already knew it was snowing cause when Trent left the house at about 3:00 he told me it was and I fell right back to sleep. At 3:00 however, there was no snow on the ground. At 6:00 after being woke up, I looked outside and then decided to go out and measure. By this time, we had 2.5 inches of snow. It sure was a good thing that I had already taken off work cause there was no way I was driving it and also, Trent was not allowing me to drive it. Now here are a few pictures of my afternoon entertainment.

The front of our home.

Bullet first time being in the snow and he went absolutely crazy. He loved it

Us all bundled up from taking Bully outside to potty then he decided to play since it was his first time in the snow.

That all for now

Trent is so SPOILED

My Hubby is so so so very spoiled. I bought him Call Of Duty World at War which is a Wii game for Christmas. I then decided to buy him the gun so that he can actually really act like he is fighting. Well, stupid me, I paid for the gun with the debit card instead of cash and I bought it at Game stop so he would have obviously knew I got him something to do with a game. I already have so many surprises for him for Christmas, I decided to just go ahead and give him the game with the gun yesterday. He loved it. I then had to go to Walmart yesterday to pick up some things and decided to go ahead and get his Birthday present. Yeah of course, I have already given that to him also even though his Birthday is not till January 8th. He is most definately a movie freik so I got him a Blue Ray player and also the movie Punisher. That was also so expensive that he would have been like what in the heck did you spend so much money on so he got it early. We really have not gotten to watch a movie yet so don't know how much better the picture comes in like they say but I am sure it will not take long for him to test that out. The way I gave that to him, I set up the blue ray before he came home and put the punisher in and started it playing. I then taped the Punisher box to the door before he came in with a note telling him happy Birthday. I heard the garage door open so I went to the utility room, I really did need to look for something anyways. When he opened the door, he just looked at me and smiled. He did not act like he had caught on that the box actually said BlueRay. I just looked at him and smiled and said "have you not looked at it close enough?" He said yeah, it is Blue Ray. The almost immediately after that came out of his mouth, his mouth about dropped to the floor, his eyes about popped out of his head and he said "oh my god, you didn't" and gave me a very shocked look. Yeppers, he was pretty ecstatic. He just sit around for a few minutes with the biggest smile on his face. It was pretty priceless.

Other than that, everything in the Haddock household is going good. We took some pictures last weekend while in Manhester so when we get those bak, I will post a few on here.

Christmas Wishes

Just wanted to give everyone some Early Christmas Wishes. Here are Our Family Christmas Cards that I created this year. Merry Christmas!!!
