All We want for Christmas is..........

TO BE PREGNANT WITH OUR LITTLE BUNDLE OF JOY(S) and hopefully about 2 1/2 months pregnant at that. Honestly, seriously, that is all we want.

Wow, oh wow. We absolutely can not believe how far we have came in our journey. So to update everyone with whats going on.

We were not going to tell everyone when we got ready to start procedures because we don't want a slew of people asking us "Did it work?" "Are you pregnant?" and all kinds of other questions but we have had so many people praying for us that it's a little unfair to not keep ya filled in huh? Well, I will kinda sum up the procedure for ya and kinda give ya a hint on when we think we may be starting procedures however, it still stands true that we don't want people harassing us if it worked or not. I am sure, we will tell people in our time if it did or didn't work when we are ready BUT we don't want a million people bombarding us about it all at once. As much as we hope and Pray that it does happen the first time, we don't expect this to happen and I think it is only normal that we will be sad and hurt if it doesn't work hence the reason we don't want to be bombarded. We are staying positive and have Faith in God that it will work however, the success rate in each cycle is only 20%-25% therefore we also have to face reality. We don't want to say IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN because we don't want to be let down even more if it doesn't. Again, we have faith and truly believe it will but also have to face reality at times also. A little something though to give us hope that it will atleast happen at some point is, Trent talked to someone the other night that done the same procedure we are doing with the same doctor we are using and luckily for her, it worked the first time. Not only that, but I have heard of others that used the same facility we are going to and it has worked for them. We know it can and will work, but it is just so encouraging to hear the success stories.

Now, on to the process..........Everyone will be excited to know..........

WE WILL BE STARTING WITH THIS MONTH'S CYCLE!!! (sorry to those guys that may be reading this or anyone else who didn't care to hear the details) Geez its crazy to say that almost 2 1/2 years ago when we first started trying that I was so upset and so bummed every month when my cycle came around and now, we are SO anxious for it to start that I don't think it ever will. LOL! (sorry again guys)

Ok, now, that I have had to apologize twice, I guess I should say, if you don't want to hear about my cycle days, you may not want to read any further however, the further details will have information about how procedure will work on certain cycle days.

So, I am due for dear ol' mother nature to come and visit me any day now which will be
Cycle Day 1 (CD = Cycle Day from here on out). YAH, YAH, YAH!!! (Geez, will it ever happen, LOL)

CD 3= I will be put on Clomid = fertility meds to help induce egg production which could also make me form more than 1 egg. We are very nervous about the side effects of this medication as we have heard the side effects are not fun and could make me crazy, emotional, nauseous, etc. Ugh, dreading this BUT will TOTALLY be worth it in the end.

CD 13 or 14= I will go to Dr. Hill and have an ultra sound to make sure my egg follicles are a certain size. If they are at the size the doctors would like to see them at during ovulation, they will then give me an HCG shot to stimulate the ovaries which then will cause it to release the
egg(s).

1 to 2 days later - (they said it is normally 1 day but possibly 2 days later.) We will actually go in for IUI (IntraUterine Insemination=Artificial Insemination)

Approx 2 weeks later, we will take a test and hopefully be pregnant with our little Miracle(s) therefore in a little over a month, we could possibly find out that we are finally pregnant with our little miracle(s) that we have worked so hard for over the past year.

So is everyone wondering why I am putting Joy(s) and Miracle(s) well we always said we wanted 2 and no more than 3 kids so at this point, we are hoping that we have twins so that we can have what we always wanted. If not, we will gladly take whatever God wants to bless us with at this point. If this works and especially if this works rather quickly with not many tries, we will have decisions to make as in trying again in the future or not however, at this point, we are just focused on the right here right now and what happens now because it may not even be a decision that we have to make later on depending on what happens now.

Anyways, it has been forever since anyone had been updated due to us not knowing if we would be sharing with everyone when we would start procedures or not so now that I have updated everyone, Please keep us in your prayers this month and in the next couple of months following as we will hopefully be pregnant in the following months but if we are not, we will be redoing this whole cycle that I just went through a couple more times as needed to hopefully make it work. At this point, it appears we will get at least 3 tries and hopefully we will get more tries than that if needed depending on how everything goes.

Anywho, hope everyone else is doing well and hopefully, we can soon give everyone some GREAT news.

Peace and Comfort

I know I have already posted one blog on Uncle Kenny however, his Funeral services were so inspiring, I can't help but to blog on it. His funeral was just as inspiring as he was.

This picture was taken 1 month to the day before his passing. This was July 4th while he was camping and he was getting ready to go watch fireworks. They say he always waved to you by showing you the peace signs. (hence the title). Out of all the time he had cancer, you NEVER heard him complain, NEVER heard excuses and most of all to show the true Uncle Kenny spirit and personality, even though his condition, he still continued to be more concerned about others and not himself. I have heard several comment on how they were sick and he made sure to call them and see how they were or seeing them at his benefit, he would ask how they were. Still worried about others and not himself. Aunt Carol said even Monday or Tuesday before his passing early Thursday morning around 1230, he was still showing his silliness. He pulled her hair and he tried to raise his hand and kinda slap her playing around and picking on her.

His services were held at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg where he and his family attend church at.

So it started with Saturday being the visitation. There were a TON of people to come through there which was amazing because it showed how many people he has truly touched in his life but there is 1 in particular that really stuck out to me. There was this woman to come in with 2 or 3 little kids. One of the kids was approx 10-12 years old by looks and he was hanging over the casket and looking at Uncle Kenny. You could tell he wasn't hanging on it out of disrespect, he was just up against it and really looked to be reminiscing. It just really appeared to me that Uncle Kenny really impacted that child's life at some point and time. It really made me think, you always have to watch what you do and your actions because you never know just who you will make an impact on.

Sunday started off with Family only going to the funeral home about and hour and a half before he was taken to the church. This was done so that it could give church enough time to get out before he was taken back there but also gave the family their alone time with him.

We know when he left the church going to the burial ground that he would not be in a hearse that he would be on the fire truck however, we did not know that leaving the funeral home going to the church that he would be taken by firetruck. As I said, only the family was at the funeral home however, walking out of the funeral home was so emotional and so touching at the same time. As we walked out, the firemen were out by the truck lined up at attention and then, not to mention, when they loaded him up on the fire truck. WOW, what an amazing thing to witness and be a part of.

When we got to the church, everyone was already there and as the firemen rolled in the casket, the family followed in behind them. As we were walking in, I could not help but to notice the HUGE crowd. The church is a huge church which was cram packed and I don't know if there were any open seats available or not. That was just so amazing to me because it really showed how very loved he was and also just how many lives he impacted during his short lived life.

As the service got started, his church choir started singing "I Can Only Imagine". Again, WOW. There had to be at least 50 of them. Then their were 2 guys that spoke, 1 being Uncle Kenny's best friend Gary Kilburn which done and amazing job and the other being Uncle Kenny's preacher Brother Mickey which also done an amazing job.

Uncle Kenny services really shed a light on me and put things into perspective. Even though he was bed ridden, For 3 consecutive weeks prior to his passing, he was in church. So my question is, with everything he went through, being bed ridden, and all, he was still in church with NO excuses. So whats your excuse? He can go to church, why do so many others including myself at times, make excuses and not go. As I have said before, he has got to be one of the (if not THE) most inspirational man of God I have EVER met.

Also a huge statement Brother Mickey made was Uncle Kenny did NOT loose his battle to cancer but he WON his battle. He is now in heaven where he belongs and SO DESERVES TO BE. He is now in heaven with his mom and dad with no more pain and no more cancer.

Again, as we were leaving the church going to the burial ground, there stood the firemen at attention and then loaded him up on the fire truck. Trent led the funeral procession which was a honor. We went a long route so that we could ride by his station that he worked at. At that station, they had a fire truck set up with this flag hanging in the middle of the road along with ambulances and fire trucks lined up all down the road. In this picture, the flag is hanging over Uncle Kenny.

In this picture, it shows only a portion of the people lined up. It was also amazing because even if people did not show up for funeral, they knew about it and was outside in their yard at the road with their hand over their chest, some people on side of road videoing and everything.
Here the firemen are getting him off the fire truck. At the grave site, the firemen presented Aunt Carol with the flag on the casket, one son with uncle Kenny's boots and pants, one son with his jacket, and the other son with his helmet. They also presented both grand kids with a pair of his gloves. There was also a helicopter fly by.
Uncle Kenny's funeral was Beautiful. I know it is hard to think of a funeral being beautiful but his absolutely was. Uncle Kenny inspired so many and was also loved by so many. He will be dearly missed. I am so honored to have met such a wonderful man and to be a part of such a Beautiful ceremony for him.

WE LOVE YOU UNCLE KENNY AND WILL MISS YOU DEARLY!!!

Angel in Heaven

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure you love.

Early this morning we lost a very special person so dear to our Hearts. Trent's Uncle Kenny honestly has got to be one the most inspirational men I have ever met. He is such a man of God and seriously amazes me. Even while being bed ridden, for the last 3 weeks before he passed away, he was in church regardless. Not to mention he was such a precious, sweet, loving man. Him and his wife Carol's love can seriously be an inspiration to all. I can only pray that mine and Trent's love can shine as brightly as theirs has on me.

Here several months back, I took him a plate full of chocolate chip, peanut butter, and sugar cookies. While he was eating some, we got to talking about Macadamian nut cookies and every since then, he has been hooked on Macadamian cookies. For about the first month, I was taking him a plate full about 2 times a week. After that, he got them about once a week except for the 2 weeks he was camping for his birthday. I can honestly say, I will sure miss making those cookies for such an angel.

I am so blessed to be a part of the family. Yes, maybe I married into the family but I can look at him like he was my own uncle. He was such a sweet precious man with a heart of gold.

He will be missed and never forgotten by so many. Please remember to keep his family in your prayers.

Me and Trent with him at his Benefit on June 4th.

Newest Little Golfer Woman in Town Gripping It and Ripping It

So, since my birthday when we went golfing, I have gotten HOOKED. I won't lie, I am HORRIBLE but I say its still fun to be horrible. Since my birthday, I have been golfing 3 more times. I was using an old club set of Trent's but we decided it MIGHT help me some if I have a women's set. In this picture, I look a HOTTT mess cause we had just got done playing and it was scorching hot outside but here I am with my new set of clubs.

Tonight we were talking and I have to look it up and see how expensive it will be but we MIGHT get me some golfing lessons if it ain't too bad. Like I said in the previous post, I can usually get the ball to the green ok but you can forget my putting. I can't put worth a crap and I definitely need some work on hitting the ball straight trying to get it to the green. My last time playing, we went to a course that had water EVERYWHERE and that is a HORRIBLE idea for a beginner. I lost a ton of balls.

Most courses require you to wear collared shirts and I only have 1 that fits which is the one you see in the picture so today, I went and got me 3 collared shirts and 3 pair of shorts with pockets so I can keep an extra ball, tee, divot tool, etc with me. I also got me a divot tool, ball marker, more balls, and some tees so I am all set to go next week when we go back.

I guess to sum it up, we can say my hubby has me hooked on golf and I really enjoy playing even though I ain't too good.

I THANK GOD for blessing me with my wonderful hubby where we have so many common interests. I always went along with him and loved that in itself. I just think golf courses are so peaceful and relaxing but now, I am excited that I actually get to enjoy playing the game with him.

Oh and by the way, I got my title because Trent is calling me his little golfer woman now and then when we went golfing on Saturday, we saw a saying that said grip it and rip it and it just cracked us up.

Birthday and Celebration Adventures

Well, just now thinking about posting from our adventures for my birthday and celebrating our time frame being up.

First of all, it started of Thursday with me getting a massage which is ALWAYS a GREAT relaxer. For those that live near Columbia, I HIGHLY reccomend Fox and Co and getting Napolean as your massage therapist.

Anywho, after I got home from that, we left for Alabama for the night. Once we got into Alabama, we checked into our motel. At the motel, they have a restraunt called 360. It is kinda like the space needle in Gatlinburg but in the top is the restraunt which is revolving. We thought we would give it a try even though we had seen their prices were really expensive. We were really glad we did because they were having a special that night on steaks and they were super yummy. I must say though, we definately felt underdressed. It is a fancy place and they are ALL ABOUT presentation with the way food looks and everything.

Anywho, this picture is from the top of the restraunt looking down to our motel and the river behind it. Our room was facing the river with a balcony. We got a GREAT deal with Trent being a cop. I still can't believe it was an $88 discount just for him being a cop.
Friday morning, we got up and headed to Robert Trent Jones golf course. I actually played with Trent and LOVED it. I just wish I could get golf lessons so I could really have fun and be decent. I have actually went back with him once at home since going there. For the most part, I can make it to the green ok BUT I SUCK at putting. Who would have thunk it. LOL. You would think that would be the easiest part. Anywho, this next picture is from the golf course and I just loved it. However, I love waterfalls.

Can't really tell too well from this picture but this was on the balcony of our motel room but you can't see the river too well from the view we are facing.

We had a WONDERFUL quick get away and got to talk alot about our future. We can't wait to see what the near future holds for us and look forward to the day we can become parents.

Hope everyone else has been doing well.

Life is getting more exciting!

Well, life as we know it is just a speeding on by...which is a great thing for now. As for anyone who knows in what route we are taking to get pregnant, you probably know that we had a 3 month wait time frame before we could get started on the procedures part. As of July 22nd (MY BIRTHDAY), our 3 months is up. Now, usually I say birthdays are just another day. Nothing significant about them however this year, I say it is the BEST birthday I have had to date just for the simple fact we are SO much closer to trying for our little bundle of joy. After July 22nd (when our 3 months is up) we will still have a little bit of a wait just while things get processed however, I can't believe we have already came so far. I just pray that the rest of our journey goes as smoothly as the past 7 months have. The past 7 months have been wonderful which we have very much so needed after the last 6 months of 2010. 2011 has already prooved to be much MUCH better than 2010 and hopefully we can go out of 2011 with a bang. lol

Since we have SO MUCH to celebrate this month, next week (during the time that our 3 months is up) we are planning a couples massage and going out of town to Florence and going golfing at Robert Trent Jones. I called today about the massage and they do couples massages in the swimming pool room of they spa but they say it gets so hot in there in the summer, they may not do couples massages this summer so I am thinking if we don't do the massages, we will spend an extra night out of town and stay one night in Huntsville and play at that Robert Trent Jones course and then head to Florence and stay there and play at that course also.

Lets just say, it pays to be the po po or be married to the po po!!! We all know they don't get paid crap but atleast in some ways, they get some extra added benefits of being a cop. I called tonight and booked our motel room for Florence and originally it was $165 however since Trent is a cop, we get a police discount down to only $77. yowzers... THATS AWESOME. I have had some motels tell me before a $10 or $15 discount but never a $88 discount. Just makes our stay that much more exciting.

Haha oh yeah, and for my birthday, I already got a police scanner. I LOVE to hear what all is going on and I get so much entertainment out of Trents stories so I can't wait to be able to play with my new toy and be nosey, lol.

Alright, I guess that is all that is going on in the lovely world of the Haddock's for now. Hope everyone else is doing great.
